Hun, your head is still balloon-shaped...

Hun, your head is still balloon-shaped…

So, this is the follow-up to my earlier picture here. This one is not as good as the first one. Bits of body are shaped better, but a lot of it is shaped worse. Rana’s eyes are reeeaaaally weird. I like her ankles but the rest of her is even more awful than the last time. She’s too small, too. Link has somewhat more detail, except on lower arms and legs, than last time, and his face is at least recognizable…

Drunk

I hate booze but I love chocolate. Go figure.

I hate booze but I love chocolate. Go figure.

This is me, day before Christmas, and someone gave Mom a big box of those brandy-filled cashew shaped chocolates, and I had a few. Not enough to get like this, certainly. I had about three. But I thought it would be a funny idea if I did get drunk on them. So here you are. And guys, this is as close to drunk as you are getting me. That means you, Ced.

Wind Mage

That's not wind.

That’s not wind.

Marker picture, originally of me as a Fire Emblem wind mage, but in the end just some random OC wind mage that has no relation to any story I made up… some decent shading in spots, but still clueless about hands and ears. And skinny skinny arms.

I am a TOTAL Glorfindel fangirl. I was reading Fellowship last night again, and I got to Rivendell, and I was bouncing with excitement whenever he did ANYTHING… He’s so amazing… I kept thinking: “He must be thinking something like ‘Ringwraiths? Pffft, I’ve faced worse. Like Balrogs eating my home city. Now that’s no fun.'”

Larsa

At this time, I was interested in, and watching through, the cutscenes of Final Fantasy XII on YouTube. Was quite taken with Larsa… he’s very admirable. Very heroic, and sure to grow into one of those wonderful naive, passionate, do-gooder heroes I admire so much. And handsome, with that pretty hair and nice voice. He stays noble, even tragic, even when his elder brother morphs into a salivating rampaging monster. : P

Anyway, I only started using a reference about halfway through the picture, which is why I think his shirt isn’t quite right… I tried to make it interesting with pen-stroke textures. I think it worked, although parts of it would have looked better smooth. As you can see the ear is not developed at all. Odd, that. I was working on it, though. You can see that in the last Zela picture.

Elfinessé was a little over a year old when I drew this picture. Huzzah!

Zela

You are boring.

You are boring.

Hey, look! It’s a marker picture! It’s a portrait of Zela, and that’s about all I can tell you because I forget the circumstances of this drawing. It’s not a bad picture, either. Mostly. It could be better. But then, so could everything.

Silly kitten hurt her foot…

This is a picture, obviously, of Link, Rana, and Saria (sans fairies). They’re returning home to Kokiri Village from a long day of playing in the Lost Woods, where Rana hurt her foot. Again, I can’t do perspective too well, and I didn’t use a reference for Saria. So that’s why she’s not wearing her cute little green boots. Link turned out the best again, but still looks funny.

Link and Rana

Sweetheart, your head is shaped like a balloon...

Sweetheart, your head is shaped like a balloon…

Hello and greetings! This was a quick sketch of Link and Rana… it wouldn’t have been so quick if it had turned out right. Anyway, I started with Link’s head, and it turned out GREAT. Izzenee handsome? The rest of both of them, not so well. Perspective was not my strong point, and it still isn’t, to a large degree… Rana’s body is okay, althoug she looks a bit too skinny, or maybe a lot, and her tunic doesn’t sit right, and her head is not so good because, again, of perspective. I have the nagging feeling that I almost got it, that if I just change a few lines and move her features over a tad, it would be perfect. But I don’t know how. As you’ll see later, I tried again, and this time it was marginally better but Link’s face was not so good. I should point out that they’re wearing their clothes from the Twilight Princess period.

I want my organ…

...I miss it... why didn't Zelda put one in when she redecorated?

…I miss it… why didn’t Zelda put one in when she redecorated?

Ganondorf got short-changed in Twilight Princess! This was originally my brother’s idea, and he says I didn’t get it right. That’s okay. I put my own interpretation on it. I suppose if they repeated the setup from Ocarina people would say ‘hey, what is this, Ocarina2?’ which would be justified… but Ganondorf playing organ is pretty cool. Even if it reinforces the stereotype that ‘organs are evil. Or at least creepy. And malevolent.’ Not too shabby a rendition of Ganondorf, for me, either. Could have been better, but I couldn’t figure out how much detail I could fit in to one page. Looks like I could have put in more, but it was smudging. I wanted him to be really shadowed and spooky. Contrast to the very short Zelda suspended above him. Ran out of room.

Trio of musically inclined and deformed friends

Trio of musically inclined and deformed friends

I tried to draw this picture on the success of the last picture, but it didn’t turn out so well, for a few reasons. First reason is that that harp is ridiculous. Second reason is that Silver the dragon (the intellectual descendant – who shares nothing with her predecessor – of Christina the dragon) has a very long tail and really awful arms. Yoeath the unicorn isn’t so bad. But anyone who knows what a horse looks like will be able to tell that she needs work. And her horn is lopsided.
