They look nothing alike. Are you sure they’re related?

I realized that Zela and Flaria don’t get drawn together very often (in fact, Flaria’s usually not drawn with anyone except FlairĂ©, oddly enough) so I decided to draw them together. It’s a bit of a flop, since they don’t seem to have much to do with each other. However, I still tried to put them in the same image.

I’m really, really happy with the way Zela came out. Her hair is lovely, her posture indicates readiness to some extent, and her expression approaches fierce. Which is exactly what I was going for. Flaria looks a bit washed out and useless. : ( Her features are too small.

In one country, at least, they have scantily-clad women just like all the stereotypes… 😛

This is my attempt to put down the general fashion of the Griffonlands of the Adhemlenei, especially for women, which I had in my head for a pretty long time. Men wear much the same thing but I draw enough pretty guys already. So, as you can see, there are three basic styles – loose robe, loose robe with sleeves, and half-naked-ness. All are (apparently) suitable for agricultural work in their warm climate (hence the tans/dark skin), and that’s why the girl on the left is holding some grassy bits of stuff. The girl in the middle is more of a noblewoman, as you can tell from the way her hair is done up and the jewelled necklace in her hand. The girl on the right is very mobile all day long and so wears clothes that are even less restricting than loose robes. Her top is pinned in place. Her skirt has underwear built into it for modesty (v. important, you know!). The vague resemblance to Disney’s Pocahontas is unintentional. I also accidentally made her much bigger closer than the other two. That’s why it says ‘scale fail’ underneath.

My eraser was acting up really badly that day but I couldn’t find another one. Sorry.

Star Wars KOTOR II! Rise of the Sith Lards. This occurs on Nar Shadaa, the ‘bounty hunter city planet’. You remember that guy who claims the Ebon Hawk was his before Davik stole it prior to KOTOR I? And he runs off to the ship when you give it to him all light-sided-ly? Then he gets killed by the slavers who claim that landing platform and you have to slaughter them all (though their boss is really hard). Then my character, Selyn Tekeri, agonizes over the fact that she ‘sent him to his death’, and Atton and Bao-Dur, my two main homeboys – I mean, party members, stand there, wanting to help but unable to really do much. Especially Atton, who loves her. (It was a tough call between Atton and Disciple… but it turns out that Disciple actually looks like an idiot in-game, as opposed to the screen-shots I saw before I played… whatever.) This was my first attempt at drawing Deerfleet in portrait format, and as you can see it didn’t turn out very well. Well, perhaps you can’t tell. But it’s nothing like I wanted him to look like. I still don’t think I have a satisfactory drawing of him. Maybe I did one in Lieder class last week, but I don’t think so. I can’t remember. …I need a better memory. I need to draw Deerfleet more. He has a wooden hair pin with flowers on the end.

This odd young lady is named Artemis Delin (pronounced de Lin), and she is, I believe, a Star Wars character. I’d been watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars CG TV show, and Rex is awesome and I was a total fangirl. I still am a fangirl, but I’m not obsessing over his awesomeness anymore. So Artie is the OC I made for him. I believe she’s from Christophsis, that glass-planet city place. And ends up on Coruscant, evacuated from the battles. But not before her life is saved by CC-7567. : P And that’s basically all you need to know about that. Curvy girl, huh? Different from what I usually do. And her hair is supposed to be shiny, though I forget whether it’s supposed to be black or blue. And she’s supposed to be giving a thumbs up, but it didn’t turn out quite right.

I bought a lovely new charcoal grey UVic sweater today; this is my third-year sweater. I wonder what my fourth-year sweater will look like? I also have forest green (first year) and lavender (second year). Both have hoods, which this one does not. It does have an awesome collar, though.

Actually, that would be this year’s recital poster. …If I ever get around to taking it. See, it needs to be in a pine forest near sunset. Which means fall because spring never gets around to that sort of atmosphere by the time that recitals and juries are on.
