Flairé

Whump

Whump

So, my fanart of my original character. That just seems wierd to me, me drawing fanart of my own thing. Fanart. But that’s what it is.

This is also a pretty good picture of Flairé, though not as good as the last one. Anatomy is still my bane, though his left hand is not too bad. I think he’s supposed to be landing. That’s why his wierd shirt is flapping all around.

Flairé

Sproing!!!

Sproing!!!

It’s Flairéeeeeeeeeeee! (glomp)
Flairé: (completely unfazed) Um, yeah. About time, too.
Oh, go on. Anyway, I drew this for my brother’s Dungeons and Dragons homebrewed rules, version… uh… 2, I think. Or was it 1.1? I can’t remember. Anway, I wrote out his backstory (see below) and then I drew a picture of him to go with it… and fell in love with it. Completely. Like a 13 year old fangirl. I mean, look! He’s got such beautiful hair, and his eyes are exactly Flairé, and the skirt of his tunic isn’t totally wacky, and he’s tall and slender and graceful. My mom doesn’t think much of this picture. His pose could be improved, I’ll admit – his back needs to curve more and give even more sense of movement. And I used my cheat for drawing hands. But the hairContinue reading

Sangwine and Bactine Dance

Swirly? Swishy? Pretty?

Swirly? Swishy? Pretty?

LinT! And now for the actual fanart the last two pictures were leading up to! I am really pleased with this, even though I tried drawing eyes at least twice and each time it spoiled it, so I left them out which is something I’ve done before, or since then, or something. I think they still look good. And it’s shaded! Decently! And they might be somewhat in proportion! Oh, yes, I am not ashamed of submitting this to the fanart contest – even though everyone else did much more fantastic art. Aja won, and Andrael placed as well, but I can’t remember which place. Colby hasn’t put up the fanart on her new site yet; she’s still dealing with the archives. Which, of course, are much more important! Whee!

Bactine

Rahr, Sangwine!

Rahr, Sangwine!

LinT! Bactine was waaaay harder to draw than Sangwine. I chose to draw my favourite picture of here, on page 61, last panel. My favourite picture of Sangwine is on page 69, panel 5; at least, that used to be my favourite panel. He’s evolved into something even more handsome – well, he’s an elf! What do you expect? But back to Bactine: She’s hard to draw.

Sangwine

Huhhhh...

Huhhhh…

Colby was having a fanart contest to celebrate LinT getting to 200 pages! I wanted to draw something, since I love LinT so much anyway, but first I needed to know ‘how to draw’ Sangwine etc. So here he is, and I don’t think this is from a particular picture, but Sangwine is rather easy to draw from scratch. I did refer to the comic, though. He’s got thick eyebrows! And pretty hair!

Chibi Oscar

Helllllooooooo, handsome

Helllllooooooo, handsome

It’s Oscar with his eyes open! My brother says that doesn’t count as chibi, but I say he’s cuter than usual, so I get to call him chibi. I personally don’t think he’s “squinty-eyed” – I think his eyes are just permanently in the ‘happy’ Japanese sign, though so ambiguously that it doesn’t look strange when his mouth turns serious and he talks about serious stuff. Hey, Oscar’s cool, and a pretty good paladin. And he cooks, yet he isn’t a nutcase like Lowen. (ha ha ha ha) His ear is also slightly detailed. Nice eyes, though.

Janaff snores

Lucia: You'd never think he's over 100 except that he snores. Janaff: Hey!

Lucia: You’d never think he’s over 100 except that he snores. Janaff: Hey!

The sort of back story behind this picture is that Janaff and Lucia are hiding in a large shallow cave on the side of a cliff, and she has a nightmare so he holds her, and falls asleep in a rather uncomfortable position. Well, she’s comfortable, at least. And that’s about it. I like the pose. I couldn’t let myself erase the bit of Janaff’s belt that’s hidden by her arm, so it looks a little funny. Ugh. They’re sweet together.

Pit and Link

So I’m so far behind that I decided may as well just put it up. Um, let’s see. I guess the new Super Smash Bros. Brawl site had just gone up, and I decided to draw Pit because he looked really cool. He’s Greek! Huzzah! Except he didn’t come out nearly right, and then I tried TP Link, but he didn’t work either. Too bad this is only Pit’s second incarnation – it’s really cool, but he’s so old – the first games came out in 8-bit or whatever! It’s a bit painful. Oh, well. He’s getting some recognition now. And I understand the first game is insanely hard (as most early games are) due to not-quite-perfect game mechanics, etc.

Oscar

The cheerful, yet responsible knight

The cheerful, yet responsible knight

I like Oscar, the green social knight from Fire Emblem 9. And I don’t really like his official art; in the artwork, the ‘caveliers all’ wallpaper, and his sprite, he looks different in all of them. So I did his sprite because I like it the best. He’s got some heavy-duty looking armour. Not like some of them, where it looks three-quarters decorative.
