Ha, this is a cool picture despite the technical problems. The guy in the middle is the ‘hero boy’, Ron. The Meticulous Dwarf Wiz is the short guy, and then Jervis is the ‘axe boy’ over on the left. On the right, the chick is named Marialla and keeps her lockpicks in her purse. Ha. Lastly is Flairé: yah!

These guys are the five who played in Kevin’s first homegrown version of Dungeons and Dragons. Ron rescued Jervis in level one, and then they both rescued Marialla from a Necromancer, and then later the Meticulous Dwarf Wiz was trying to hold off a bunch of wolves, and finally Jervis saw a cute chick who was really really tall and then the cute chick turned out to be an adventuring guy who joined them for the heck of it…

Oh, yes, Ron has red hair and blue eyes, Marialla had blue hair but I always imagine it auburn now and dark blue eyes, Dwarf Wiz has dark brown hair, Jervis has light brown hair, and Flairé of course has black hair and green eyes. Dwarf Wiz also has blue robes, Ron has a red shirt, and Flairé has a green shirt. And F doesn’t use his sword. Which is almost invisible anyway. Yes, Marialla the thief-class does use a whopping big spear. Deal with it; she’s cute. ^_^7 And I did lots of shading on this one! I really like Flairé’s butterfly clasp. And the way his eyes are rolled back like that became classic Flairé!

Ron’s got his foot on a rock if you can’t tell.

After about three campaigns and some mystical weapons, these five got too powerful to fight normal monsters but… they dealt out lots of damage, and were relatively invincible armour-wise, but had rather low HP. Which meant that when they came across nests of dragons it was a tough battle. We’d be winning and then in one hit someone would get killed… So we quit. Later I’ll tell you about the D & D 1.5 group, that had a grand total of one level, and D & D 2.0 which starred a guy called Jamkul.

EDIT: Recently we were going through old paper and found the original sheet on which we recorded EXP and gold gains, as well as the custom level-ups for each of the party members. Ta-dah!
