Aaaaah, I should have put this up long ago. Isn’t Ceniro great? I’m awful at battle sprites, but here it looks pretty good. (The movie, however, does not). Still, he looks rather cute in the talk-sprite, even if the hair is not really professional-looking. And the little sprite all on its own is a finished image. It’s just the frames of actual fighting are not.
Here’s a really ugly thing from even before that. It was a digital photo of Fire Emblem 7, of Lyn’s stats, and I just altered it like nuts and painted in Ceniro. Needless to say, it doesn’t look like it’s from Fire Emblem at all.
Star Fox acted up yesterday after I finished my post. I couldn’t play the second level. My brother got to, we guess, the last level, but it was too hard. Anyway, we deleted it and started again, and it works for both of us now. There was a time when I was a little scared it was trying to take our Gamecube down too, because we’d put a disc – any disc – in and it would go to the Gamecube menu instead of playing the disc. We’d turn the power off and open it, and the disc wouldn’t be spinning so that meant that it hadn’t been playing at all.
Now it works, so I got to the dinosaur level. Yay. My brother beat the asteroid boss for me.
Still, we beat Lego Star Wars II. Now we’re going through the levels getting all the mini-kits and things (if possible).
I can’t draw Fox at all, so I’m not going to do a fancomic. I tried yesterday, just a silly idea that came into my head, but the characters were barely recognizable and the NPCs were just blobs because I ran out of patience. And interest.
Today I almost beat my brother in a vs. battle! The darn sniper rifle wouldn’t hit him, and I forgot to turn on my shield. So I lost after all. But if I had hit, I would have won!
I like the Star Fox music. The ‘oh no, tension’ music sounds A LOT like Mars from The Planets, with the repeated octaves in strings, but the Fox theme and the Wolf theme are both really nice. Isn’t it convenient how to conquer objectives, Fox basically just has to blow everything into smithereens? The end of the dinosaur level is funny, too. Man, is Falco a lame flyer or what? He keeps getting guys shooting at him! He’s got the highest proportion of retreats of anyone. Still, he’s cool and not as sarcastic as Star Fox 64, which my friends had about ten years ago. I loved playing the training mission on that one, and the first level. I played them over and over. I never got past level 3 because I was a chicken back then.
