Rekka no Ken: The Tactician and the Dragons: Sands of Time

Chapter 8: The Berserker and Valourous Roland           Chapter 10: Victory or Death

This chapter should be a bit shorter. Whoops. Anyway, Renee decided to make an appearance, even though I was saving her for the AU sequel. And I would like to draw a picture of her and Ceniro sometimes, looking tactically badass if such a thing is possible. Again for this chapter I really have to thank You Will Know Our Names, because I was meandering around the battlefield for a long time until I had to take a break to drive somewhere and I put that song on repeat for like 10 times and by the time I got home again I KNEW HOW TO WRITE THE BATTLE it was great. So it doesn’t totally suck. A lot of the things in it, I came up with the first time, just they weren’t connected in any sort of way. Continue reading

Chapter 7: Cog of Destiny           Chapter 9: Sands of Time

This chapter is incredibly long. I blame NaNoWriMo. I would like to thank the Aldnoah.Zero OST for helping with the Karel vs. Lloyd duel which took way too many days to resolve, Dark Pit for helping with Eliwood’s passage of the maze, and You Will Know Our Names for helping with Eliwood’s battle with Georg. I have nearly two other chapters ready as well; in fact, if you’re reading this the same day I publish it, you’ve probably already clicked back to here from those new chapters. : P

Did I mention this chapter is INCREDIBLY LONG? Continue reading

Chapter 6: Battle Before Dawn          Chapter 8: The Berserker and Valourous Roland

Holy crap, a chapter. When was the last time I updated this blog? It’s definitely time for a design overhaul. And to upload all the stuff that’s only been on DA for the last year. But first, NaNoWriMo! First goal this year – finish this dang story! Second goal this year – write the alternate ending sequel! Third goal – more Rifted Riders stuff. Release the dramallamas!

This chapter is pretty long, but looking ahead, the next chapters shouldn’t be TOO bad. The last couple chapters will probably be pretty long again, though. Continue reading

Tseo’s Girls

tseosgirls

Tseo ad Ventum and his ladies over the years.

First was Minerva Tellius (partner: white Kekalni), his sister-in-arms in the IV/IX Dragonriders, with whom he had a daughter, Misitrel. However, she dumped him after he got them all kidnapped by a madman just for existing – though the fact that he was currently a mild chauvinist certainly aided her decision.

Next was Kalalin, Hitomi’s childhood friend, grown to become a dual katana-wielding mercenary. Sadly, while she was very fun and energetic, she was also not interested in a deep commitment to one person and cheated with a member of her mercenary troop. Before that, they had another daughter, Ammernia.

Finally was Linoa Lutien, half-sister of Xanda. By this point Tseo had most of the chauvinism beat out of him by his new Centurion, Lavinia, but Linoa had her own issues – namely, a childhood friend who betrayed her and caused her much grief and rage. At the moment, their relationship is holding steady, and Tseo holds out hope that he’s finally found The One. They have two children, twins, Nieril (girl) and Nieron (boy).

I was to say that these are the most proportionate people I’ve ever drawn, and while there are still issues, I’m really happy with that fact. I’m also kind of proud of Kalalin’s character design. And while I’m not sure what Linoa would wear usually, we’ll just say she got dressed up for this picture. :3

I should colour this, or at least grey-scale it. We’ll see what I feel like doing tomorrow.

Mwennon and Aiya

scan0028

Hrulash and Hitomi’s babies decided it was time for them to be all growed up, so here they are as teenagers. They used to look like this.

Aiya is 19; Mwennon is 15. She’s grown beautiful as her mother, but cold as her father – she has a warm heart, but she hides it away carefully. She is an expert spearwoman, but she prefers a more calm, urban life. Zamir annoys her as much as he can, to her mystification. Her theme song is Splendid Flowers (takes after her father in music, too!)

Mwennon was the wilder one, and ran away from home to become a mercenary at age 15. He got some tattoos, and began dual-wielding spatha and gladius. He eventually returned home, and it took him a few years to fit back in. His theme song is Reluctant Heroes which is TOO GOOD FOR HIM, but he’s a greedy little boy and wants it anyway.
