Glorfindel Leads Them to Rivendell

Glowiness of nobility

Glowiness of nobility

Glorfindel! And Asfaloth! Asfaloth doesn’t look as bad as my horses usually do. I still can’t draw horse chests. I should study sometime. I tried to make everything other than him and his horse dark so that he would stand out. He is supposed to have a sort of glow, I think. Like the elves in the Shire, where a faint light falls about their feet. Unfortunately, the shadow faded. Frodo came out well also, and look! It’s Aragorn! Wow! Sort of. Sam is the hobbit just behind him, Merry is the one behind Glorfindel, and Pippin is behind Asfaloth. I had trouble scanning this. It didn’t want to pick up Glorfindel’s arm or waist.

Timeless Ocarina: Chapter 20: The Broken Laugh

Chapter 19: The Land of Sand     Chapter 21: To Find Tranquillity

Chapter 20: The Broken Laugh

“Nabooru?!?” Link cried in shock and disbelief. She didn’t seem to be hurt, although he had struck the hulking Ironknuckle in the torso more than once; perhaps the massive padding under the armour had protected her.
She raised herself to her knees. “Who… who are you…”
He knelt beside her, trying to help her stand. “My name’s Link. I met you seven years ago. Do you remember?”
Two swirls appeared in the corner of the room, condensing into witches; one with red and black robes, the other with blue and black.
“Oh, look, Koume, she’s woken up again.”
“Oh dear, Kotake, you’re right. What should we do with her?”
Nabooru sprang to her feet, keeping a wary eye on both of them, growling like a wolf.
“Let’s lock her up again,” said Koume. Both witches now held glowing balls of light in their colours.
“Run, Nabooru!” Link shouted, jumping in front of her. The Gerudo woman didn’t need telling twice. She was out the door before the old crones could fire their spells.
Instead, they fired them at Link, who blocked them both with the Mirror shield.
“We’ll wait for them in the big room, right, Kotake?” cackled Koume.
“We will, Koume,” screeched Kotake. With a swirl, they both disappeared. Continue reading

Link and Legolas

(stare)

(stare)

One quick picture today. Link and Legolas, because I still think they’re very similar. Legolas came out badly so I didn’t finish him. I also rather like their expressions. Kind of challenging, really… or maybe just blank. Yeah. I like Link’s face in this one a lot.

Shadow Temple

The dark, haunted depths…

Link descends into the depths of the Shadow Temple… Cool, huh? This is one of my favourite pictures. And that skull… I did research! Wow! I have an Eyewitness book about bones and they had a picture of a human skull, so I tried to draw it. And it turned out okay despite some perspective problems.

Ephidel and Limstella

Intellectualism wins every time

Intellectualism wins every time

Ephidel and Limstella, the educated morphs, playing chess. Morphs are the artificial humans created by Nergal, the villain of Fire Emblem 7. They always have black hair and golden eyes. Limstella’s the prettiest, but Sonia thinks she is. Sonia dresses sexy and thinks she’s human. I like Limstella a lot better. Ephidel is “Mr. Enigma”. Someone wrote a story in which they played chess all day and Elfired those unfortunates who disturbed them. That’s why I drew this picture.

Chapter 19: The Land of Sand

There was a huge stone in the distance, much closer now. Link staggered towards it.
“Want some more water?” Navi asked.
“I’ll hang on for a bit, thanks.”
As they got closer, Link could see the stone more clearly. There was an ancient, broken statue of a woman sitting crosslegged with her hands palm upwards that was carved directly into the face of the rock. In front of her was a rough stone arch, rising out of the desert.
There also was a Triforce pad.
Link walked past the pad and over to the entrance under the statue’s feet. He stood looking around a bit.
“Isn’t Sheik supposed to meet me here?” he asked Navi. He turned around to scan the desert.
Sheik was there, smirking. At least, Link thought it was a smirk. He couldn’t tell. The other youth’s collar was too high for him to see.
Link clutched his chest, pretending to have a heart attack. “Goodness, Sheik, where did you come from?” Continue reading

Kent and Sain

Loyal Knights

Loyal Knights

The Social Knights of Caelin (and of Fire Emblem 7), Kent and Sain! These two are best buddies and pals and partners and everything – although if anyone suggests that this picture suggests they’re a couple, they’ll have to deal with Fiora’s long sharp lance and Salir’s… knobbly bony elbows and knees.

Kent was still very difficult (I still hadn’t seen a picture of his artwork, I believe). But, I made him a sort of Sain artwork clone, and they both turned out terrible anyway.

Wil and Florina

Happy together

Happy together

The guy is Wil, and the girl is Florina. Florina is a shy, shy little pegasus knight, about 16 years old, and Wil is a friendly archer. Florina’s terrified of guys, because she’s a girl, and she’s scared of girls with bows, because they could hurt her pegasus Makar, and she’s absolutely terrified of guys with bows because of both put together. But when they first speak to each other, Wil is so nice, and Florina actually makes a effort to answer… plus they look sweet together, so even though one can’t pair them in the game – no support conversations – I still paired them.

For this picture, I almost traced Florina’s artwork, and Wil I sort of copied from the game. He’s too tall, actually.
