I just had the best idea for practicing drawing cats and dogs and wolves and things! Make them… lycanthropic (?) versions of Adhemlenei people! Like, Marteth is a wolf, Gullac is a terrier (a deadly terrier… hmmm…) and Zela is a mountain lion! Flairé’s a big doggie. And a kitty at the same time. Hmmmmmmmm…
Ooh! Art! …Yeah. Anyway, I realized recently that I hadn’t drawn Flairé in like forevar. So I did. I’m so out of practice. This one’s a bit on the realistic-experimental side, and I do realize that his eyes are too close together (the bane of my face-drawing! D : ). I think he’s looks decently pretty nonetheless. I’m not sure why he’s wearing the kimono. That just sort of came out of my pencil. I also have a Photoshop picture of him as a baby, but it’s a WIP right now.

Appropriately enough, I was in the middle of my Tsubasa binge, so I decided to make him as over-the-top Japanese-y pretty bishie as I could. Which is not very much, but it’s more than usual. I also tried out a new technique – using the regular brush on partial opacity. Other people use this to great effect and I’d like to get better at it.
