Filler + update

So, classes are finished… I am somewhat unnaturally tired, which is one reason why you haven’t been flooded with art/writing/yay. The other reason…… you can probably guess from the nature of this filler.

(Psyche is SO CUTE!! XD )

Also, I kind of like the top picture of me… while the bottom picture gives my hair the unfortunate appearance of being made of ramen. …I’m not eating that much ramen. : P

I Know You’re Out There Somewhere: chapter 11

Yaaaaaaay the long-awaited Chapter 11 is up! This is only half of what was originally going to be Chapter 11. That would have been a doozy. But anyway so Chapter 12 will have even more of this emotional crap, though perhaps with less attempted seduction. And I really mean that ‘perhaps’. Man, I should put a warning on these chapters.

Four new cameos in this chapter! Marcus is perhaps a little OOC for who he is in his own universe, but since he has a different position in this universe, hopefully he fits in while retaining some semblance of who he is? Apparently I got Lu spot on, which is always nice!

I guess this is FiDaNoMo? Finish that Dang Novel Month? Yeah?

Happy Birthday Lusiel!

Hey! It’s Rose’s buddy Lusiel! Lu is to Rose what Flairé is to me, so all things being awesome equal, here is some quick birthday fanart for him. This is of Flairé’s favourite memory with him. Yes, her elves are small, and mine are huge. (shrug)

All right! I managed to survive another Tuesday! Quick check of homework, and then bedtime yay!

I Know You’re Out There Somewhere: NaNoWriMo2011 – chapter 10

Another chapter! Slightly edited; skipping some of the torture prawns that were in the original. I don’t know what drow are like, soooo here’s my guess.

Very sleepy. Too many early mornings. I have only early mornings until Thursday, and I’ve had them since Friday. Boo. At least I’m almost healed. My voice is still a bit off, and my nose is still a bit odd, but I’m pretty much back to normal.

Also, too many projects. This will be the last chapter you get for a little while, although I do know what happens next chapter, vaguely. I have some visual arts to do in my free time. Aaaand then there’s the music I have to learn… Tried to get some work done on the Kakadu tonight. Am concerned that I am trying to learn my long-term music too fast. Need to spend next weekend solidly in a practice room. Continue reading

I Know You’re Out There Somewhere: NaNoWriMo2011 – chapter 9

Okay, this chapter is not quite the way I want it, but…… close enough. Maybe I’ll rewrite it later. See, I’d have to rewrite it if I were to edit it, because otherwise I’d end up not changing anything. I don’t seem to be able to easily lift certain phrases and put them in new settings…

News: Sick is… getting better? I can sing again, but my nose is still a “Bag of Holding filled with goo” and the sinuses to my ears are blocked, which gives my head the feeling of being stuffed with cotton. Which is interesting, because I thought that was just a writerly turn of phrase. But it is a real feeling. I have a mocha beside me, though, and I had some tea earlier, so I’m good, more or less. My brain is less fuzzy. Now I just wish I could breathe. Continue reading

Cancellara

OMIGOOOOOSSSSSHHHHH I didn’t quite realize Fabian Cancellara was such a bishiiiieeeee until I found this picture. Wow.

And I didn’t leave myself enough room again. So you don’t get all his lovely hair.

(adoreadoreadore)

In other news, the concert last night was pretty good, and I am really sick, and I am going to stay in bed all day except for during choir. Because choir neeeeeds meeeee. And choir is the best. Seriously, you MUST go to this upcoming concert if you at all can. <3

Also David Bowie exists. And I think I approve of this fact. (watched Labyrinth)

Flaire and Jen

Trying out my new markers. They’re no better and no worse than the old ones of the same brand, although for a moment I was very impressed for some reason. I forget what the reason was, because you can see how well they work on shading large areas. : P

Also there is no orangey-pinky-brown, so no skin colours for us! D :

I Know You’re Out There Somewhere: NaNoWriMo2011 – chapter 8

Well! Posting while trying to beat cheesecake batter (by hand, no mixer) is hard.

This chapter… huhhhhh… I hated writing the demon battle. Battles are hard for me. Everyone’s doing interesting things at once, except that the English language doesn’t have THAT many words to describe the sorts of repetitive actions I want to put down.

Also Illinia is a whiny emo brat. There, I said it. But yes, she does get a little OOC this chapter… I think I found a reason for it, but she’s… a bit odd in this one.

Back to slow character-driven psychological emotional descriptive stuff next chapter.

Hope the cheesecakes turn out. It was still a little lumpy when I put it in.

EDIT: The fight at the beginning is a bit better. Also added a line to the one at the end and a couple words here and there.

Hrulash, Tseo, Tseo, and Hrulash

People who’ve been following the Rifted Riders RP on the Wayrift forums will quickly figure out what’s going on here… What is going on here is that the Baronian versions of Hrulash and Tseo (on the left) have met the Adhemlenei versions of themselves on the right, and are either chagrined, mirthful, friendly, or disdainful, as the case may be.

I thought it was a cute idea.

Oh, about the Rifted Riders? Basically, Tseo and Hrulash are young dragon-knights-in-training. Tseo’s a little ahead of Hrulash (and they have their respective partners, still, Hoarwilk and Garekhen). Hrulash is a straight-laced patronizing cranky un-self-confident kid who thinks he just got into the Dragon Knights because of Tseo and Garekhen (yeah, being friends with a dragon would help A LOT, ya think?) and as a result is desperately searching for a way to prove that he’s a good knight, not just a pencil-pusher with a dragon. He and Garry are my mains. Garry’s just a jolly ol’ dragon who wants to see his partner unbend a little. Tseo and Hoarwilk are my NPCs.
