firetempleavatar And this is Hollas, violinist virtuoso and composer extraordinare, as I saw him at one of the violin class recitals, I think. His hair was shiny and made me want to draw it. But I drew his violin much much too small and never got around to fixing it (hence the arrow that says ‘fix’). I drew the piano in the background, but it was too distracting so I removed it again. And it doesn’t really look like Hollas because I didn’t actually use a real-life reference. But it’s supposed to be Hollas.

Chorus is fun… my voice is so rusty, I get sore on high Gs. Fs are great. But F#s, even, are ouch.

And “Laudamus te! etc. etc.” I can translaaaaaaaate! Yaaaaaay!

There is a new flat-wide-screen computer monitor downstairs. …It is flat and wide. I haven’t used it yet. I should do some Photoshopping again someday. For Christmas, I think. And for Aja. True Magic fanart contest! I shall do more Bob, and possibly the other four heroes as well. Or maybe I’ll go on a completely different tack this year and do Lucideus. With pants. (Duh.) XD

Did I say that Kim has a fantastic cute haircut? Kim has a fantastic cute haircut.

Sleeping in the music basement - a common pasttime, though not necessarily for angels.

flairestuckicon Uhhhmmmm… this is a picture of a friend of mine that I got from a certain social networking website. So, drawn with a reference… didn’t stop his hair from coming out incredibly plasticy. And then I drew wings just for fun. I like wings. I should draw all my friends with wings and see what they look like. : D

Woot, Flairé shirt! I had to redraw the top of his head because it wasn’t high enough… When you make a race with long noses, it somehow shoves their eyes up higher than half-way up the head. Which is too high.

Last night I started working on those plaster Warhammer rivers… just sticking plaster all over the cardboard bases, then smoothing it out to resemble river-banks. I’m about half done. I’m going to finish tonight after I water the plants and clean the house. And rehearse for tomorrow.

Note to Gullac: Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

Gullac: (with matches in hand) Awwwwwww……

I really really want to work on my character page for Adhemlenei, but it’s very time consuming and I feel I should work on other things first. Like the rivers, and the tower, and the tunic, and the t-shirt, and the plants, and the cleaning, and the piano, and the organ, and the last chapter of TTatJ, and the second half of Ephraim’s Story, and Latin and Lieder homework…

EDIT: Okay, I just spent an hour and put up all the minor characters on the brand new Characters page. I should draw snazzy new art for all of them. It would be worth it, don’t you think?

Doodles

« ... »

Today’s post is going to be a bit different. It is vastly long, and covers a whole year of doodles. Actual artwork will be presented in its regular order afterwards, but as I didn’t do too much during the 2007-2008 school year we should be finished with it within a week or two.

theorydoodles

Doodles drawn during an undated date in theory class. Must have been early on, first couple weeks in September or something. Here is the first appearance of Crhaigarrc, eldest of dragons. MG’s head is in the top left, saying “Hi! I like Aristotle”, but it appears that Crhaigarrc does not like Aristotle. TT_TT7 There are also some aborted eyeballs, a really tiny Kylyralessa staring up at Crhaigarrc, an elven shield, and some idiot who wants to play double basses that are as big as possible. He’s about to get his wish. Sort of.

historydoodlesnov28

Various doodles, 28 Nov. From top left is Jerome from Prime of Ambition (the cute LG one), a guy who thinks he found his iPod but actually found the tongue of some huge unimpressed lizard, some attempts at drawing butterfly wings, and the item that ruined this page for taking notes, some sort of elf with wings. Or an angel woman. Something graceful, anyway.

Flairé has a caterpillar. Which was once part of his lip but it turned out bad so I scribbled it out and turned it into something else. On the left is a female heart from L. Thanks, L!

historyedgeworthjan18 Second term; Edgeworth doodle. 18 Jan.

historykalvifeb15 A really bad concept for a kalmaeirin string instrument. I mean, look! You couldn’t play that thing. The neck bends out from under the strings. 15 Feb.

historyhairmar12 Hair of my classmates, lx-sama and KevT. 12 Mar.

historycucumbermar26 Apparently I am so angry I could eat a raw cucumber. Don’t ask; I don’t remember.

26 Mar.

historyhair2apr1 Hair of same classmates. 1 Apr.

historymikeapr2 MG. But not very good.

2 Apr.

historyalexapr4 lx-sama playing in Claire’s piece, The Divine. That was a lot of fun. “Gawdammit, Agnes!” :D :D :D

4 Apr.

And on that light note, I’m off to clean my desk, teach my brother how to play Cat’s Cradle, watch another ep of Red Dwarf, practice piano, teach my bro organ, and somewhere in there have lunch.

Beware; during the 2008-2009 school year I doodled almost every day!

gauthav2Only one of these thoughts I actually thought at this sniffling concert, and that was the one with the kleenex. Oh, it’s hard to read. In the top right, I am wielding a katana. In the next row, a ‘fellow Collegium student’ (initials are A.M.) asks “What’s with the sign?” and I reply “I need to fix something behind me.” At intermission. The sign says “Heard of Kleenex?” and provides a free sample.

Note that this did not actually happen, it’s just my imagination. What I actually imagined was having a huge pair of wings big enough to block out all sound of sniffling from all corners of the hall. Or something. After the real intermission we sat somewhere else.

I should add that the sniffling kid is actually an astounding musician when he’s not sick. And A is the only chibi I really like on this page.

crownstarsiconThis was sort of a true story. My dad and I went to a highly advertised Collegium event in the Alix Goolden Hall starring I forget who (Dr. Syer?) on piano, and we sat in front of some poor soul who shall remain nameless and who had a cold. The sniffles were constant. I’m afraid my math and timing are not that great but this is my first foray into chibi-ism pretty much. To be continued.
