I’m putting up 7 pictures today, so I will be short on each one. This one is a sketch of an illustration, a rather abstract illustration, for a Zela book. She, plus some knight and a little fairy, are showing two kids, a boy and a girl who are reading the book about Zela, new far-off horizons in imagination. Uh-huh. Also, that’s a tree the boy is leaning against. The knight is a bit wierd looking. The swirlies are not good. Also it’s difficult to make an original sweeping elf-y knight helmet that doesn’t look like some dumb Greek or Roman rip-off and yet doesn’t look like any of the other five zillion fantasy things… I want something understated, compared to them, but still tall and graceful. I think.
