The Totally Not-Canon Adventures of Flairé: Episode Two cover

Whee! New project #2! Click for large version!

I’m going with a cell-shaded look because I think once I get the hang of it, it will be faster than the painterly look, like what I used in the angel picture or the Ceniro at Sunset picture. Although it was a pain colouring that mountain, I’ll tell you that. I have no idea what I’m doing and for the random wolf I used no reference.

Oh yeah, so the people on the left… I should just tell you they are not to scale with the people to the right. Organist is only as tall as I am, so it’s natural that Flairé should tower over him, but the girl with the blonde/purple hair should be at least 6’6″ and she doesn’t look that. But they are not to scale because they are not as important. : )

Is the pink arrow okay? I thought it added some much needed incongruity to the scene. Also Flairé probably should be holding a pink marker but I thought that would be over the top.

Organist may not look an awful lot like Organist yet, but I have… 71 pages to try and get that right THIS EPISODE. Then there’s the next episode.

The Totally Not-Canon Adventures will update every Sunday as long as I have pages! Probably late Sunday night… try Monday mornings if you’re lazy and want to be safe.

And check back tomorrow for something nearly as cool, imo.

Is this really what I'd do if I were rich? ...Dunno. Check back later.

So this just popped into my head – first the song, Douce France by Charles Trenet, which is an absolutely gorgeous song and you should listen to it, and then the picture. The picture is what I would do if I were rich and could afford a convertible and enough time to go on one of them old-fashioned ‘road trips’ – oh, and if I had the inclination to go on a road trip. : P Anyway, so I’d drag Leslie and Kevin and Organist along with me, and we would crank up Trenet to top volume and just cruise happily. And we’d all wear sunglasses ‘coz we’re cool like that. Actually I’ve never seen Kevin wear sunglasses. But I’m sure he has them. I’m not sure what’s happening in the back seat, but it looks like Kevin wants to see the map but Organist won’t let him.

Not much has happened in the last little while… Got some Ravel to learn – SO PRETTY!! Le Tombeau de Couperin, for clarification. Also we watched Cars. Also whenever anyone hands me a phone, my voice clogs up. SO BAD. It doesn’t clog up any other time. I’d say I was perfectly healthy (had a cough about a month ago and it’s taken its sweet time leaving… >: (  except I take the phone and immediately have to clear my throat fifty times which doesn’t make a good impression on the person on the other end…

Also – got around to reading the Gospel of Matthew today. Pretty straightforward and to the point. But then I read the New English Version. Going to read the King James tomorrow and compare.

Btw those Old Spice commercials are pretty funny.

My brother just put his shirt on inside out and backwards without noticing. 8)
