glorfindeliconEr… a Dragon Booster picture. A really bad one. This is a view of Grenoble, the town that Evylyin comes from, remember? They’re on the ski hill that (mostly) white dragons work at - the riders get off their own and hop on an experienced white in order to go skiing. That’s the idea, anyway. And you can see the patched together racing tracks in the valley, and Evylyin’s family’s farm.

Not much to say today. Kevin’s watching both Toy Stories. I like Toy Story. Especially Toy Story 2.

Hey! Zelda on theremin! I love theremin, if for no other reason than it’s bizarre!

evylyiniconUh… I drew my own concept of “Shadow Booster” after I saw the nerdy helmet they gave Mordie, because I didn’t like their version. This picture is designed only to remind me what I think he ought to look like. This is NOT what I think he looks like itself.

And then we have Artha and a not-very-good Lance, with cheesy grins. Artha, surprisingly enough, reminds me of Mendanbar from the Enchanted Forest Series (a very good four books, and you should read them if you get the chance). The gleaming stars represent the cheesiness.

I leave tomorrow afternoon, and thus I actually put up two pictures so as to leave you (whoever you are?) with a good note. Not the ugly mugs above.

I’ve been having nutty dreams recently. I dreamed I was Ceniro, quitting a loser job, two nights ago. Last night, I dreamed that I was packing the stuff out of my room (it was tough since somehow it all ended up on the floor) so that it could get painted, and I had three rabbits who could turn into humans and one asked to be called Peter Jackson and I named the other two Gwen and Alyssa. And I drove up to Comox and saw the people who were going to play my quartet. Four fairly similar looking boys, and one of them was Thomas, but he was wearing sunglasses so I didn’t recognise him too well. They all needed a haircut.

I decided on themes for my next Link story. I’m going to do this right! They are injustice and innocence. These themes are probably going to be fairly common among my stories, even the original ones. Like Zela.

Kevin is being a BIG pain in the neck, as he wants to get started on MY projects. Buzz off, you ‘doke’.

But he did start making a rather nice little text-based Adventure game, with runs on Internet Explorer, and it took him quite a while just to get a few (typo-filled) pages up, but it has a great deal of promise. It also has rather obvious references to a certain video game series involving a shiny sword with a purple handle, and the sacred properties of Courage, Wisdom, and Power. Which were going to come in pendants in his game (coughLttPcough) but in a 30 second brainstorming session we had, he transferred them to new containers.

And I don’t think Zelda ever had a village idiot, unless “I AM ERROR” or maybe Mido count.

Hee. “I AM ERROR.” Hee. Hee hee.

princedespairiconUh, I tried to do a better job of Mordred and failed. Well, his hair is styled a little more like in the show, and the other things look sort of like in the show, but it’s not really… something. And the h in his name up there is not a typo. It’s what Evylyin calls him. He looks a little shocked. I guess something bad happened to Lance.

I made a new MD of The Moody Blues: The Best of and Dire Straits: Alchemy. Those are good CDs. Dad also has Alchemy on VHS and you can’t get it anymore. So we’re lucky. Apparently Moody Blues played in Victoria a couple days ago. But they used a synthesizer instead of an orchestra, so it can’t have been as good.

Also, at long last, I finished both the exposition of my quartet and Chapter 6 of MoDttIoD! Whoo! Although, Chapter 6 was almost as uninspired as the quartet in spots. The ending (of the chapter) was particularly unsatisfying. It just doesn’t work in words. I need to draw it. And you’ll have to wait for the next one because I don’t know how the game goes

It’s been really, really hot around here for the past couple of days. Why, only last week, I had hot chocolate a few nights because it was cold, and this week, I put my duvée away. I think that’s how duvée is spelled.

For those wondering when my ‘modern’ period starts, well, we’re getting to 2006 pretty soon, probably in the next week. I’ll let you know when we’re at the ‘current’ period. I’m not sure whether it starts in the pictures of May ‘06 or June ‘06. Meh, that’s pretty close together.

feromance1iconOkay, this picture makes me laugh. It’s just to help me remember some of the minor evil characters in Dragon Booster. Of course, everybody knows Mordred, and most people who’ve seen it will remember Cain, but Rancid and Blair? Which one’s which? And what were their parents thinking (or drinking) when they named them?

And I can’t draw them, but I put in enough features that they are recognisable to me. Mordred is Toothpick Man, and Rancid and Blair are re-enacting their gag from “Three Times a Hero”, which was a pretty good episode. Lance was cute in it.

This picture is the first one in my mini-sketchbook - 50 sheets of 6″ by 9″. It’s quite nice, doesn’t feel like I have miles of space to fill up, and scans nicely. (Mostly)

I finally got on the St. John’s Organ, and it’s harder than I thought having three manuals.

The third movement of my quartet is just about the most uninspired thing I ever wrote.
