Well, we’ll see how many I get done today. This should be the last of it, covering the scribbles in the last bit of Music History and all my Linguistics. Just one term of Ling because I had theory during second term at the same time.

Once upon a time, Flairé had a friend from the Dragon-lands that he suddenly found out one day that, to his shock, she was in love with him. Enough to forego modesty and pin him against a wall. I think he dropped like an eel to escape and ran around the room in circles before jumping up to perch on an arch near the ceiling, and because she was a weaver, not a dancer/acrobat/warrior, she couldn’t follow him. They… stopped being friends, though he did save her life shortly afterwards from something monstrous. Apologies to all who are offended by this picture.

Braden, shortly after he had an ad placed on Shaw TV about playing the Mozart D- Piano Concerto. It was pretty cool, and Stephen Brown said lots of nice things about him. And Mozart/Haydn. I didn’t manage to get to the concert with the concerto, but I did get to his solo recital, and it was good. And L was with me, which made it even better.

Flairé, Nov 6 ’08. Also Kalmaeiring phonemic minimal pairs: f and ff (ff is pronounce bilabially instead of with the upper teeth touching the lips), sh/hc (hc is like ch in Bach but much more air and less consonant). A minimal pair is when you have two similar sounds that, when used in otherwise-identical words, change the meaning. Like ‘same’ and ‘shame’, or ‘same’ and ‘sane’. Or ‘fwei’ and ‘ffwei’. (‘love’ and ‘angel’)

“What good is singing yourself into tranquillity and then dancing yourself into estacy?” demands Flairé, attempting to explain why it is rare to have a slow song and fast dance together in the popular song/dance form. “I said that!” he said proudly, pointing to it, after I wrote it down. “Good fer you…” I replied sarcastially.
DONE! It only took me all day! Good thing I didn’t have anything else to do. Though three hour long naps on Sunday are great.

I lied; sketchbook scans return tomorrow. The colour version of 
Whoohoo! This is a picture of all my closest friends at the time of drawing. Most of them are still my closest friends, although there ought to be more of them now. We’re all Fire Emblem characters. From L-R, there’s Michael the pianist, the red-armoured cavalier, KevinT the pianist, the ‘mercenary’ class swordsman, Claire the soprano, the pegasus knight, L the pianist, the archer, Jennifer the pianist, apparently switching classes to be a fire mage (let’s say this is FE7 so it’s easier, anyway), Nathan the clarinetist, the armour knight, lx-sama, the dark-magic wielding shaman, Michael the violist, the green-armoured cavalier (did you see what I did thar), and .t, the fighter-class axeman. Scale is a little skewed because I started it as a picture of N, because I was discussing it as him and I was quite sure he would be a great armour knight, and then added everybody else later. I’m happy with N, lx, .t, L, and Claire. The rest are not so good, but passable… very close to passable…
Top left of this picture, is, obviously, Marteth. I was experimenting with his hair; wondering if I could make it less weird while still letting Marteth be as much of an SoB as a Prince-Commander in Exile can be. Then there was a practice sketch of a friend because he had a birthday the next day and I wanted to draw him a card, as I do for friends with birthdays… As you can see I was not impressed with my efforts. I wasn’t too impressed with the card either, but apparently he liked it. That’s a good thing because I lost my scan of it. Then I drew Jerome Bettequer from The Prime of Ambition for some reason. I think because he became my new favourite character because he wasn’t snarky like Audj.
