Menad
drawn July 9, ’11

I was going to draw someone else, a new character, but it turned out looking like Menad, so I kept drawing him as Menad. Somewhat better than last time, neh? And look, I tried doing a little bit of fanciness on his shirt. I lit him from below because it looks cool. Let me remind you, he isn’t bad. Just moody and emo and somewhat mixed up.
I’m feeling lyrical, so I think I’ll update his profile. (Updated!)
Ahahahaha, Thor is still in yellow after a week of racing. Awwwwesome. That guy is amazingly tough. He hung on through all the climbs today, and I’m sure he will drop much later than anyone is expecting tomorrow, although Phil has started to say maybe he’ll keep it tomorrow too. XD That would be hilarious and fantastic. He was laughing as he came over the finish line today. Cheers to the big guy!
I am unsure of Radioshack, though. Kloden is doing fantastic, but the other guys just fall down day after day. I suppose they’re unlucky but it’s just weird, y’know. Too bad about Horner, though, I kind of wanted to see him ride. Boonen, too, and Wiggins. At least we saw Vino today! Even though he faded, it’s nice to see a big familiar name come out and do things. Ryder’s down in 46th overall, but we’ll see him do stuff pretty soon I’m sure. They actually mentioned him today, I think.
I am really starting to feel sorry for Contador; there is no way Andy is going to let him make a single move, and he doesn’t seem to have the legs he did two years ago or even last year. I watched last year’s Tourmalet stage (finally!) and Andy says he’d like to have a minute and a half, maybe two minutes over Contador for the time trial. All he has to do is watch him and counter. Of course I don’t want to discount him, like people were doubting Cavendish (and then Cav went and won) but the difference is that last year people doubted Cav and he won and so I knew his not-winning was a temp thing. But Cav has all of HTC working for him… they practice that to perfection. (Nice to see one of their guys winning the red numbers today; he deserved it! And he’s only about my age, eesh. So when they’re not working for Cav, they can do whatever they like, which is nice.) So Contador has… well, he has Saxobank behind him, and he has a good manager (I forget who it is atm – Riis?), but the only people I know are the Sorensens (not related to each other, I think) and maybe Navarro. I guess the others are good but I dunno, man, Leopard-Trek has Cancellara and Voigt and O’Grady, and BMC has George! and Burgehart. People who I know are good, star-level good. Anyway. Lalalalala. I shut up analysis now.
I did not look up any spellings of names so I really hope I got them all right, otherwise I will look like an ignorant twit.
My brother is now the owner of a space game that is practically tailor-made for him. It has ship creation and planets with different variables (which you can micro-manage) and real spacey physics (the ships turn around halfway to point their engines in the direction they’re going so as to slow down and stop by the time they reach their target). He loves it to pieces, although he hasn’t figured out how to win yet.
