First, a very Merry Christmas (or whatever you happen to celebrate) from all of us here at the Adhemlenei. People in this picture: Marteth, Bayn, Gyoriing, Lyrestan; Mathaning, Gullac, Zela, Flaer, Yoeath; Flaria, Jalril, Flairé, Tam, Rana; Ceniro, Leslie, Jennifer, Esgalwen. Quite a number! Didn’t have room to fit in Silver, but we all know she wishes you a Merry Christmas too. Yes? Yes.

Jalril is just embarrassed at standing next to a girl. Who’s dating his brother. She thinks he’s funny. And cute. Tam is a cloooooowwwwn. X D Flairé is wearing his princely-type tunic which you haven’t seen before! It’s red. Continue reading →

What a load of wierdos.

It’s Flairé! And all six of his siblings! Woot woot. I drew this coming home from the Bard on the Beach expedition (wow, that was so fun). I asked L what I should draw on the way back, the seven children of Flaer/Zela, or the Flairé-rides-through-the-forest sequence (which I did eventually draw, so hold on to your horses – ahem), and she said the seven persons. So I did. Took me a couple days. I had to redo Marteth, as he looked like a twin of Menad. They still do, actually. Pickles. Bayn looks oversized… I guess that’s what he is, but I thought the effect would be different. And Gullac is supposed to be taller than Mathaning. He’s just hanging off his shoulder. I had fun with the boots, though!

Zela’s Family

The whole pile at once

This is Zela and Flaer’s complete family. From L-R, T-B (top to bottom), Flaer, the hero of the story, who has since had a slight makeover, Zela, the heroine of the story, Flairé, looking wierd and the narrator of at least part of it, Flaria, the token gracious female, Menad, who’s looking quite a beauty here despite the fact that he goes evil at some point, Marteth, who we met yesterday and who still has stupid hair and this time a stupid face as well, Bayn, wearing Griffin-land style clothes and looking a bit odd (jaw too straight), Gullac, winking roguishly at the viewer because that’s what he does, and finally, Mathaning, the naive innocente. This is the best picture of him.

So, finally, the whole of Zela’s family has been represented graphically at least once. Good!
