The cover to Book 1 of my Fire Emblem 7: Rekka no Ken fanfiction. Not my best work, but it started out really sketchy, and then I got serious, and then I got bored. It’s kind of random, just some people posing. Not inspired like the other one. So it’s really only here as a concept. Blah. Lyn’s Legion, GO!

I’ll do a better job of this someday. Maybe. If I feel like it. ; )

As it is Remembrance Day, have some beautiful poetry.

<NERD TIME> This morning, my D&D group got together… we’re millimetres from finishing the story arc, but we really only had time to finish the boss battle and then RUN home literally to get ready for the concert this afternoon. It was a good concert, although afterwards everyone made a fuss about how good I was to have covered for one person’s missed entrance that I forgot she missed by three bars later. : P Anyway, so we got back to the town that had weird-type zombies in it, and the DM’s older brother whom we’d never met before played the main NPC, which was awesome. (They have a very similar playing style, though E paces more than C and seems to have swallowed the rulebook a la Hermione.) And we found the boss, which was an evil cleric and a devil she summoned, and Myra and Torrigan (our cleric and paladin) took on the devil while Kellan and Illinia (our rogue and druid) took on the evil cleric. Kellan found the invisible cleric by running into her, and then the NPC wizard stopped her going out the door even with his old-man-STR 7, but then she got away, and the wizard ran after her and she knocked him out, and Illinia ran after to keep the wizard from dying, but then SHE GOT KILLED. Evil cleric rolled a critical on ‘Drain Life’ or something. So then Myra our good cleric got really mad, criticaled for max damage on the devil, and ran outside to help, where Illinia had been resurrected as a zombie by the cleric and forced to attack the rogue. So Myra dropped Illinia with Turn Undead, and someone got the evil cleric. Oh, and the paladin healed the wizard.

Fortunately, the zombie-healing potion we went away from the town for also resurrected Illinia in a normal fashion, so she’s back in action. I think. She’ll have some questions for the cleric when she gets past the dumbfounded stage, though. </NERD TIME>

So all that was just to say I feel like drawing a comic about our adventures sometime. Maybe Saturday morning, when I’m travelling. Though someone needs to email me back about all that because we still have planning to do!

wilflorinaiconWell! Here is Ceniro, and he’s just going to make me squeal with delight, because I always like it when he shows up. In this picture, he’s actually journeying with Eliwood, but Lyn took time out for ‘Lyn’s Legion’, the Original, to get together, so there’s Florina, the little figure on the left, Wil sitting between her and Lyn, Lyn waving her sword with rather long arms… and Kent and Sain, who are too far away to tell apart. And their loyal friendly tactician is sitting under a tree a short distance away, just enjoying the fact that they’re there again, and not even looking at his Gam- farseer. Seriously, it’s not a Gameboy. Really. It has buttons and stuff, but they’re not Gameboy buttons. Actually, the latest design has no buttons. I figured that would be beyond the imagination of medieval spellsmiths. It might have had levers, but its designer thought those would maybe catch on things and just generally be too unwieldy. So it has a purely magic interface. Now, at least.

Anyway, this picture is wholly uncanon, as Lyn would never steal the tactician very far away from the army when the world is in jeopardy. And Lyn’s Legion ought to include Erk, Serra, Matthew, Rath, Wallace, Nils, Ninian, and Lucius, regardless of the fact that they joined after Sain and Wil coined the title. So… this picture is not very realistic, but… Ceniro is my squeezy! Or something. (*Ceniro leaves hastily*) I wonder where he’s going. Probably afraid for his life. Oh well.

Yay background!

Two more days of work! Actually, I was less tired at work yesterday. Just as tired walking home from it, though. I attribute all the energy to Vancouver and all the tiredness to not sleeping enough. It’s fixing, though! Really! I got lots of sleep last night.

Those horses are seriously undernourished. What are they, ponies? And don't get me started on the state of those men's legs!

firetempleavatarThis picture is of Kent and Sain, on deformed horses. I never have any idea what size horses are supposed to be. Epona in Twilight Princess is gloriously massive, but this is pre-TP, and horses aren’t my speciality anyway. In fact, this is a pretty bad picture.

And seriously, I didn’t know how to draw knees consistantly, if at all. When I find out, I ‘ll let you know.

Anyway, hooray for Kent and Sain!

Also, they’re wielding the opposite weapons of their character art on purpose.

I’m not doing much right now. This new keeping in touch thing is interesting, except that, seeing how many friends my friends have, I’m suddenly shy of them. Unless they talk to ME, in which case perspective vanishes and I feel less like an insignificant bug. It’s like Thomas, for instance, is a scary person online. He doesn’t seem familiar at all.

Yep.

And for some reason I want to start every post with “Yo, dude!” now. Ugh.

No stories/poetry/fanfiction will be forthcoming for a while. I’m sure you’re all breathing a sigh of relief, but I just don’t want to do it right now.

I’m thinking seriously of getting an iPod and a laptop. What would you dear readers recommend?

I’m thinking of the 4G iPod nano – nice memory size, no video (unnecessary for me).

Laptop – must be able to run the latest version of Photoshop (which I also want to buy). Some bells and whistles would be funky, but in the end webcams and even screen size don’t matter. The smaller the screen, the easier to carry? So far c’est tout m’egal, which I think means ‘it’s all the same to me’. Over $1000 and I will freak, or at least not take your advice, so keep that cap in mind. Enough less that I can buy a tablet (which I haven’t researched at all, so I don’t know if this is realistic) and that would be fabulous.

I’ve got some stuff to do.

Like, I’ve got much more important research to do (coughletourneaucough).

untitleddanceravatarTwo pictures in one day? Huh? Well, they were both on the same page, so there. Two red-headed men propose to two greenish-bluish-tealish-turquoiseish-haired women, with predictable results. So, yeah. Seth and Eirika from Sacred Stones, from the chapter where Seth takes a spear through the shoulder in my story. Kent and Fiora from Blazing Sword, at the end somewhere. Kent is so hard to draw recognizably, and Fiora isn’t great either. I guess I just had to get the sap out of my system. That scribble in Seth’s tent? It’s his armour, I think. Except I cheated. (snark) ^_^7 Okay, I’m being random. Sorry. His coat was okay, though.

Tactically, Fiora rules (along with Florina, naturally).

Yes, they were drawn on the same page, but K&F at right angles to S&E. And as you can see, kissing is still not one of my strong points in drawing. I guess I have to watch more animated kissing movies or something.

Yesterday, after I posted, we did go to GW and got beaten up by a young guy with some nicely painted skellies, and Paul (the other one) invited me to challenge him some Thursday. I have to finish Link the Large and preferably my second bolt thrower, not to mention those cool Dragon Princes. Tuor has permission to pry the rubber tip thing off the unused toothbrush, so I can start painting his cloak. Now where did his cloak design go? So I’ll probably get around to fighting with Paul at the end of the summer or something. Oh, and I get lots of comments on the little white ceramic cat I keep in my figure case (lack of room on my display shelf, which admittedly is not organized properly even yet). Odd. I also have Dad’s Ogre board game turrets in there, and no one notices those. I guess the cat is large enough to notice.

I wish I’d based more of my guys with square bases… then I could use them. Well, I guess Elladan, Elrohir, and Radagast are fine for ‘display only’ (although E&E are not the greatest painted models, as you’ll see day-after-tomorrow) but Glorfindel I could have done with square. Hey, I have another blister of Glorfindels! I should take the nifty base off the one I already did, put a square base on that, and put the round one on the super-showcase model!

Nah.

Yesterday my brother got one of his evil moods and wouldn’t stop poking me until I let him use the computer (after his bedtime) for some ‘vitally urgent business’. -_-7

zelaavatarsm2The Social Knights of Caelin (and of Fire Emblem 7), Kent and Sain! These two are best buddies and pals and partners and everything – although if anyone suggests that this picture suggests they’re a couple, they’ll have to deal with Fiora’s long sharp lance and Salir’s… knobbly bony elbows and knees.

Kent was still very difficult (I still hadn’t seen a picture of his artwork, I believe). But, I made him a sort of Sain artwork clone, and they both turned out terrible anyway.

Final chapter of that annoying desert on today! Tomorrow – tomorrow, we get some other stuff.

Oh, no. Kevin has a new annoying song from Zelda playing. It’s the Malo-Mart song. Malo’s still a baby, no matter how big he talks.
