firetempleavatarGlorfindel, badly shaded, and everyone else, badly drawn, and a background, badly filled in. Whoohoo. Does it look like he’s glowing? I don’t think so. But I guess subtlety is good there because I don’t think he’s supposed to be neon, for example. Just lighter than he ought to be. It didn’t come out.

The picture is of the time during the flight to Rivendell, after they met Glorfindel. I think the closest hobbit is Merry but I’m not sure. There’s a pony, too.

Okay, I survived my first day. Guess what: there are two guys named Michael with black hair in at least two of my courses. Nice to talk to. The other Michael I know has brown hair and is at Camosen. UVic is a little confusing at first. It was misty when I started out – 7:45 AM. Hungry by 11:00. Linguistics was GREAT even though we didn’t formally get started yet but if I want to skip Year 1 Music Theory, I will have to drop it because Year 2 Theory is at the same time. And then I’ll have to find another course to fill in the credits. Blah.

I got enough stuff out of the living room to vacuum and to wipe the coffeetable, but there’s stuff on other smaller tables and I discovered my shoeboxes and poster tubes are still in the front closet. And my room is still awfully messy, with at least two piles of stuff still to sort and half a table of knicknacks that have no current home. After my piano practice, and perhaps a FourSwords session with my brother, I get some more done. I finished my homework for today. Easily.

elfiniconGlorfindel! And Asfaloth! Asfaloth doesn’t look as bad as my horses usually do. I still can’t draw horse chests. I should study sometime. I tried to make everything other than him and his horse dark so that he would stand out. He is supposed to have a sort of glow, I think. Like the elves in the Shire, where a faint light falls about their feet. Unfortunately, the shadow faded. Frodo came out well also, and look! It’s Aragorn! Wow! Sort of. Sam is the hobbit just behind him, Merry is the one behind Glorfindel, and Pippin is behind Asfaloth. I had trouble scanning this. It didn’t want to pick up Glorfindel’s arm or waist.

Whoo! Ben replied to my Quartet message. So now there is a violinist and a violist for sure! Yaaay!

I bought Tsubasa Vol. 7 because they didn’t have 6. Oh well. The curly haired lady is named Oruha (-san). I couldn’t remember. Fai needs a hug.

We went to a model ship show this morning. There was a pond and there were lots of remote-controlled mini tugboats, including a model Emily from Theodore Tugboat, and also a model Bismark that went really fast, and one sailing ship, and an aircraft carrier, and three or four submarines. Those last really dived, too. But it was cold and wet.

Third-to-last Timeless Ocarina chapter up. This one’s long and sappy. Skip at your leisure.

hylianavatarHuzzah! Glorfindel saves the day! From Ringwraiths!

This is a scribble to celebrate the Ford of Bruinen. Frodo is on Asfaloth, obviously, and in the back there are (L-R) Aragorn, Glorfindel the Glowing – I mean, Golden – Merry, Sam, and Pippin. I think. I just drew random short people. In between, if you look carefully, are bits of all nine riders. Gandalf was going to be in the corner, but I cropped him because he was lousy.

Today I’m trying to figure out what I am. Currently – crazy-happy! I was woken up by my brother, coming to tell me something useless, and that made me grumpy because I was dreaming about Lego X-wings. Then I couldn’t get back to sleep, so I thought about Flairé beating on bad guys and that made me happy. Then I had to get up and face the world, and I was grumpy. Then I went and checked my e-mail and went crazy-happy! Whoo! Aja got my fan-art, and she displayed it on her website in her witty way… “Gauthicus does not drink… wine.” (snicker) Oh, man, I can’t breathe for grinning.

Eh, so that was my big news for today. I have to go draw Ted and Bob. And Marth. And find out how to draw Oni Link (a.k.a. Demon – that’s his name, not his title, that I’ve given him) properly.

Correction: My brother’s favourite flash movie of Hail-NekoYasha’s is not the one I put two days ago, it’s this one.
