gullacavScroll down to find the picture somewhere in Chapter 3 of Ephraim’s Story. I forgot the horses! I guess I wasn’t confident enough to draw them. The left side of the page is a quick summary of what they say during that scene in the game. As you can see I didn’t follow it exactly. I find it’s smoother to read and less predictible to the reader that way. I mean, EVERYONE and their kitchen sink knows what Lyn says in the Prologue of Rekka no Ken in the game. Also it avoids what one fanfic author, through Erk, called RDOO’s: Random Displays of Obviousness.

I finished Dreigiau. I’m going to try and hold off on Darkstar if I possibly can. I want to do other things with my life, too! There’s a Zela costume to work on and Warhammer scenery to glue together! And of course piano practice.

fireflykayakiconEphraim and Seth. Not much to say, except that they both have short legs but Ephraim somehow looks okay despite that, and Seth has a way-cool coat. And they’re both not exactly like the official art.

It’s really dumb how there’s only official art (that I’ve seen) for about ten random characters in Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones.

And yes, I did realize that the KOTOR II patch has not yet been released. I’m looking forward to it, though. Eeeee.

After this picture I have to figure out what happened during the school year. Spam dumps ahead! (as they call those collections of little random doodles that aren’t big enough to get a whole page to themselves…)

zelaavatarsm2This is undoubtedly one of my favourite – no, my favourite Fire Emblem 8: The Sacred Stones pictures. It’s called The Prince’s Despair after one of my favourite songs from the game, which is the desperate, longing, turmoil of Prince Lyon’s theme, except when he’s been taken over by the evil Demon King. The music inspired a slightly different picture, though.

In this picture, Lyon has been dumped by the Demon King (hopefully with his soul intact) and now fights alongside Eirika, Ephraim, and co. Although the scale is massively off (just look at Altha, Seth’s horse) the detail I put into some of this makes me feel good. And Lyon looks like Lyon. He’s the one in front, with long hair and a spell-book. Behind him is Eirika, and behind her is Ephraim, who is somehow bigger than she is, and behind him is a distorted Seth on a distorted Altha, and in the back corner are Prince Innes and Syrene the Frelian pegasus commander. Ephraim’s head looks good.

I love that music. Too bad the actual theme part is all of one line long. The rest is just disturbing chordal sequences. Yes, I think the music in FE 8 has a higher hit-to-filler ratio than FE 7, in that there are about half the number of songs, but more of them are memorable and exciting/beautiful/thrilling/on my favourite list.

At Kevin’s insistance I’m also working hard on Ceniro’s movie again, and painting models.

blondeesgalwenWhoo! Ephraim gets a chance to be cool! He’s facing down Valter the Moonstone outside of the fortress Renvall, which Ephraim just captured with… three men including himself. I don’t really count Orf-… Orson. Yeah, that’s his name. People in the know will know why. Renvall’s supposed to be in the middle of a sort of Crater Lake place. Oh, and Ephraim rules.

I also have an Ephraim story going that promises to be even better than Eirika’s, but it’s only at Chapter 3 and I haven’t actually played Ephraim’s game yet! Isn’t that amazing? I was trying to beat Eirika’s with a different party of characters, but then Kevin saved over it with another of his save files. -_-;;7
