This is the roleplaying group that involves two people named Kevin, and three UVic music students. On the left is Myra, who isn’t any of these. Myra is a human cleric who really, really, really wants to be an elf. She has red hair and a lightening sword. She’s played by Katherine, the sister of our DM, Cedric the tenor. Next is Torrigan, the righteous but good-natured Paladin of Pelor, played by KevinT. Next is Illinia, *coughesgalwencough* who is played by me. She’s looking for someone, it seems, and has gained a hawk companion in her travels. Last is Kellan Dunn, and he’s a mechanic awesome a former circus clown. He’s six foot tall and bald, and greatly enjoys acting insane. I mean, we’re not sure if he’s sane to begin with. He also loves money. He’s played by KevinM.

Oh, and hey, Corel Painter 4 is really weird compared to Adobe Elements 7, but it’s really good for doing ‘pencil’ sketches. …I have about a dozen fanarts lined up to do. Don’t worry, that includes Adhemlenei fanart. : )

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

mirkwoodfamiconOoowheee, it’s my Sculpey people! I bought a Warhammer daemonette, made a sculpey mold of her, cast a sculpey daemonette, cut off all the extra evil daemonette detail, and had a plain female figure to remold and recast as many times as I liked. Sort of. It didn’t work. I ended up with long skinny blobs that were vaguely humanoid shaped… I’m actually quite surprised they turned out so well. Rana’s shield was painted. Marth is going to have a sword, but I don’t have one that looks like Falchion yet and I didn’t feel like converting it at the time… I still don’t, really. Maybe I’ll get around to it someday. Rana and Corinth’s swords are extra Warhammer Silver Helm swords I had in my bitz box.

Anyway, Rana I made first because I wanted a Rana figure of some sort. She’s kind of wiggly but I’m proud of her. Corinth, on the right, was next – he’s my brother’s elf character from an RPG we were doing together. Rana was used in the same RPG, and she was my character. Marth was just there because I wanted a Marth figure. I think Corinth turned out the best of these.

Tuor got finished in July of last year, as I said then. He’s up tomorrow!

Silverfish corpses are everywhere! It’s kind of freaky, because I’m afraid of stepping on them. But with so many dead, it’s looking hopeful that they won’t bother us much after this! I wiped up nearly 40 in the downstairs bathroom alone.

Today my brother and I did some ‘silly’ roleplaying… he took his Adriano character from a new game we’re doing by email and had him do one evil thing and then did a whole bunch of other wierd things… including casting ‘blind’ on anyone who so much as looked at him, falling in love with the Lizardwoman Dilek who happened to also be a vampire, building up a huge merchant business, and eventually taking over the world by default. Looooony.

I’ve been looking at WordPress… I think it would be a good idea to switch over Elfinessé to it, don’t you think? It would make organization and layout so much easier, plus the added bonus of comments for you people! …Not that many people read this anyway, but that’s not the point. The point is that Elfinessé is here if you are interested. It’s not to be here for popularity or profit. I just like comments; that’s why I’m excited about having them!

Quiz/Poll Questions: Is WordPress really as easy to use as people say it is? How hard would it be to create my own look with it? Any ideas for the Kalmaeiric word ‘north’? Is the latest Photoshop decently easy to use?

E-mail me the answers to any or all of these questions at elfinessewebsiteathotmaildotcom!

fireflykayakiconI’m not sure how this character came to be, but one day my brother started chanting “mystic snowboarder! Mystic snowboarder!” and it piqued my interest enough to draw it. So, yeah, a Dungeons and Dragons snowboarder wizard with a magic ski-pole staff.

I have never skiied or snowboarded.

The thing around his neck is an Egyptian ankh.

The concert was incredible!!! It was fantastic! It was amazing! There were some school bands there and one girl sitting right behind me wouldn’t stop kicking my chair, so second half I sat with Alex and it was a lot quieter, despite the large numbers of people in the audience in the last stages of consumption… Anyway, at intermission I made him laugh until he begged for mercy somehow… ^_^7 Sort of.

Michael disappeared again. Why does he keep doing that? It’s a bit annoying when I’m trying to tell him how much I enjoyed the concert.

gauth01Of course, no fantasy story is complete without Romance. So Ron falls in love with Marialla. Did you expect something else?

I cannot draw people kissing. It just doesn’t work.

Today we all went to look at a garden (it was somewhere off West Saanich Rd. I don’t know where) and I was slightly depressed at not practicing choir that week, but the garden was lovely. I somehow got seperated from the others and just wandered around and looked at stuff and took pictures of whatever I wanted and it was very quiet and beautiful. I was very relaxed afterwards.
Flairé: Too bad you tighten up so much when other humans are around.
Well, I didn’t see you there.
Flairé: I’m spying on you. Mwahahaha. She’s not elf-like, but she’s less clumsy when there’s no one around.
Thank you kindly, silly.
Flairé: You’re welcome.

zeladanceiiavatarThis was drawn from a rather funny sequence involving Flairé and Dungeons and Dragons.
Flairé: What do you mean? All sequences with me in them are funny.
Yeah, but this one was extra funny. Here’s how it was.
Dungeon: Room 1: Jervis is hallucinating fighting dragons solo.
Room 2: Marialla is overcome with terror at seeing her reflection reflected a million zillion times.
Room 3: Dwarf Wiz’s energy is completely drained and he can’t move an inch.
Room 4: Flairé decides he’d better not go in, as the Dungeon Master has just pointed out that we’re losing one party member per room, and in a predictable pattern. Ron is the only one unaffected. So Flairé tries to be prudent and my brother drags him into the room anyway, using wierd enchantments. And yeah, Flairé can fall asleep fast when bored.

Today my grandparents arrived and talked about their trip to Germany, and they gave us all presents: souvenirs from their visit to a Renoir exhibit at a museum, a pair of balls that flash red and blue when bounced, a picture of Mom and Dad and Kevin at the beach, and they gave me a lovely ring and two GREAT CDs of organ music. One of them’s in the Frauenkirche in Dresden, which has just been restored, and there’s BWV 596, one of the Vivaldi concerto transcriptions, Pièce d’orgue which is BWV 572 and is one of my favourite organ pieces of all time, and also the Duruflé Toccata. Yay! The ring is amythest. The stone is a bit big, but it has little Celtic swirls on each side of it. The Pièce d’orgue is one of those pieces that makes me happy just by listening to the first couple of bars. A couple of the others that do that also are the Gigue Fugue, and the Fugue in G+, BWV 550.
