cuivieneniconThis is Gilglin, the ‘firebrand’ of the group, as denoted by his shield. Actually, just kidding. He’s quite cool, though he can get a bit excited. He likes sports, whatever kinds of sports elves have…

I like the way I did the flames on his shield and his helmet. It’s Tamiya red ink over silver. Turned out very well.

Er… I had stuff to say, but I’ve forgotten it. I’ve obtained Tsubasa Vol. 4 at last, but I haven’t read it yet. This afternoon has a concert I’m going to, a masterclass for Kevin, and baseball and hockey for Dad. I will be playing Twilight Princess during the time that Kevin is out, so that I don’t interfere with anything.

I found out how to put my MD player on random! I was getting a bit bored of the predictable line-up of my Studio Ghibli/Tsubasa Future Soundscape II/Alan Parsons Project (the best of)/Legend of Zelda. I wasn’t nearly bored of the songs, but the order was getting tiring. And last night, I found out that my MD player is psychic! I decided that I’d wait for Time Goes By (Japanese version), and then maybe a Legend of Zelda piece (it’s called Medley, but it’s not…) but in between, if it played Sophie’s Waltz from Howl’s Moving Castle, and Storm and Fire from Tsubasa, I wouldn’t skip past them to find the ones I wanted.

It played, in order, Time Goes By, Sophie’s Waltz, Storm and Fire, and Medley!!! I can’t believe it!

Ugh… today is, by my calendar, the 10th. I’m getting way behind, and the bad news (for you guys) is that I’m going under a rock to study and won’t come out until after the weekend of the 21st/22nd. No pictures, no journals, no Timeless Ocarina -
Link: Hooray!
- no random blathering -
Flairé: Hooray!
- and no more strange people leaning over my mental shoulder and saying stuff to you.
Ceniro: Excellent.

I’m studying math, as I said before, and also I have to audition and apply for scholarships and get ready for concerts, which are all coming up faster than a brick at my head. Or a bird on a window (that happened to the kitchen window with a robin the other day). Or time travel. Didn’t I just have two piano lessons yesterday? No? One was a week ago, and the other was a week before that? Wow! Time is flying like a rocket powered frisbee! My metaphors and similes are spontaneous and terrible today!
So I’m pretty swamped, and I’m going to be about as busy as Ilyana on steriods, I guess, since I don’t have the stamina of someone like Lucia or Mia. Or Link. Yeah. And since my math teacher, it turns out, didn’t get three of my module end tests, I have to do them again tomorrow. -_-7

New lame episodes of Skyland have been on! The only reason why I watch is because Mahad is handsome and Cortez is cool! (nifty hand-to-hand lightfight in the last one, plus Hyperion maneuvers) Too bad for North American TV that I’m currently obsessing over…… T ReSERVoir Chronicle… Vol. 4 is mine… hyuu…

So, goodbye for now. Check back in two weeks, and I will start updating again then and will try to get caught up soon after. Have a nice day!

P.S. Ilyana = skinny but hungry person with no energy. Good with thunder spells, though…
Lucia = beautiful, graceful noblewoman with a very sharp sword but gentle aspect.
Mia = perky girl with another sharp sword. Chipper. Yeah.
All from Fire Emblem 9.

gauthav3Silros up today! Silros is a poet, because he has heart jewels everywhere. Yes, that makes a lot of sense (sarcasm). Anyway, um, yeah. He’s a poet. That’s just his entire life, except of course for chopping up bad guys in the cavalry. He also is friends with Falamir, a bit, and he’s the other guy who’s always in the front rank (on Elfin’s right).

Er, Storm and Fire is more like Latin sounding with violin/flute jazz. The Dreamers is Latin jazz too, not just Latin. Don’t know if that makes a difference, but I just wanted to say it anyway. Also Together for Tomorrow sounds a lot like elevator music, but upbeat, bright, rather memorable elevator music.

For all that woodwinds adjudicator spent no time writing stuff down, he spent a lot of time talking to the players. Our group played well, just like in rehearsal, and we were together for almost the entire thing. We ended definitely together. Piano had no half-stick, though, so I was much too loud except during the piano solo. Didn’t realize it because I’m too close to all three instruments, and they’re playing away from me. Long evening.

Must finish Math 12 today… no more to say.

inthegardendetailThis is Falamir, who rides on Turmith’s left and therefore is usually the most visible of the group. His name means ‘surf jewel’. I like the silver moon on his shield. I had some fun figuring out who would get which heraldry, and I’m not fond of mix-and-match, so Falamir also has the moon-and-three-tears helm decoration and armour with a moon on it. I also covered a page in one of my larger, rougher sketchbooks with colour ideas. You can see the blue-goop-tack stuff (normally used for holding paper on walls) I used to keep his shield on. -_-7 They’re all held on that way, all the shields, and the riders to the horses too. There’s a gem on each left wrist that I felt reluctanct to cover up permanently with the shield, so instead we get goop. Meh. And I messed up the paint on the jewels on his helm decoration… they overlap the gold rims too much.

Falamir is a singer, when he’s not skewering stuff on his shiny lance, and has light wheat-coloured-ish hair. His favourite colour is blue, obviously, and comes from an old family (with pretty heraldric symbols). He has a little sister, and likes taking long walks on the beach, especially at sunset. Single. Also plays guitar to accompany himself, and has good eyes, which come in handy for detecting ambushes.

I made the Celebthol close up pictures bigger because they weren’t very detailed at all. Heh.

We had another rehearsal this morning, and now we can play the Martinu and stay mostly together! “Just think,” says Molly, the violinist, “what we could do in another week!” But, we perform tonight, and I’ll tell you how it goes tomorrow.

I’m signed up for the math exam! Now I have only one more send-in to finish, and then I’ll be able to do the last test and study really hard. Yay. After that I only have Bio 12 to work on, and Composition which is extra-curricular anyway.

zelaavatarsm2Elfinwë! Originally called Elfin, but with we added to make the bilingual pun less obvious. That means Star Hair, and we is just an emphasis, I think. I need to go back and read that paragraph again…

Elfin is primarily a musician, a reliable fellow, also a bit of an artist in his spare time, a wise second-in-command. Single, and handsome. ^_^7 My favourite of the Celebthol, with leaderish Turmith coming runner-up. This picture doesn’t really show the good side of his face, only the side covered with hair, but it shows his colours and shield and stuff.

Today has been very sunny, and our apple tree is finally starting to blossom.

My hands are terribly dry.

Still working on the next chapter of Timeless Ocarina. Maybe I’ll finish it in time to put up after supper.
Shoza: Dude.
Me: Dude.
Shoza: Dude.
Me: Dude.
Shoza: Dude.
Link: Guys…
Navi: People…
Okay, we’ll behave.

I have so many out-of-the-ordinary engagements for the next two weeks… I read four concerts, five rehearsals, two organ lessons, three possible parties, and two extra visits to church. And I have to make lots of strange phone calls. Well, three. It’s Festival time, and Easter time, two birthday times, and just wrap up time for extra-curricular things… that’s why things are so busy. And I have to finish another week’s worth of math in two days. I can do it, though! Actually, I might not have to.

Ooh, ooh. I bought a Tsubasa soundtrack, and it has lots of good stuff. It has “Storm and Fire”, and “The Dreamers”, and “Together for Tomorrow”, and “Take Me Away”, and “Wayside”, and “1&0 City”, and the all-Japanese-lyrics version of “Time Goes By”.
Storm and Fire is the violin/saxophone version of Syaoran’s theme while he’s rescuing Sakura from in the gate of the castle of Ryon Fi. Whoo!
The Dreamers is almost Latin sounding, surprisingly, but I don’t remember which part specifically it’s from. Kevin thinks it’s from ‘running away from the guards’.
Together for Tomorrow is a bright, upbeat song with more saxophone, and it sounds a bit like a pop song of the sort often played on a radio. It’s mainly played to illustrate the character’s first impressions of modernized worlds, like the Hanshin Republic and Piffle World.
Take Me Away is sung by the curly-haired lady (I forget her name) in Outo World. Kurogane grumbles about the words, saying “why doesn’t she just go there instead of waiting for someone to take her?” Fai laughs at him.
Wayside is a gentle, comfortable acoustic guitar song played during moments of relaxation.
1&0 City is the musical representation of the broken Outo World simulator. Sad, with lots of funky electric ‘malfunction’ noises rhythmically woven into the music.
Time Goes By is one of the themes describing Syaoran and Sakura’s relationship. Pretty.
Hooray! All these already on my MD player!

We can play our Martinu trio without stopping to fix stuff, though we’re still not always together.

linkprofileiconMore Turmith today. I have just about nothing to say except that I’m very busy, so I’m not going to say very much. Isn’t he cool? Love the shield. It’s a bit of a hassle preventing it from getting dented. Eärfaroth is the only one with a white jewel on the forehead of his harness.

First rehearsal with the flute and violin (and me) trio today. Violinist wasn’t notified by accident, so she learned the second movement instead of the first.

Mike has already beat his Twilight Princess. Hmm. Kevin has exhausted all the secrets he can get to without going into the Water Temple (which I am in, and he purposefully set this limit so he doesn’t go ahead again).

Going to lessons now. No chapter of any writing project today… I’m caught up. Now I have to write about the Water Temple, and Dark Link. Whoo. He’s a bit nifty, for a bad guy (maybe because he’s a clone of the cool hero).

Okay, more stuff to say now that I’m back from my lessons.

Turmith is, besides the leader of the Celebthol, also the leader of my tiny warhost that I led against Kevin’s Brets. He’s known in the text version simply as “the blue-eyed commander”, but he has a green-eyed second. I’m not sure if this refers to Elfinwë, the musician, or to the boss of the archer regiment that was the next to be finished. However, my strategic incompetence led to almost every single battle being lost by my troops. Phooey. It’s not blue-eyes’ fault! And in the text version, I managed to write it like a draw, instead of a massacre. Meh.

The young commander is… young, determined, a bit idealistic in his conceptions of nobility, but being an elf manages to carry it off well. Thinks well of others, tries to defend his friends, can be driven to exact vengeance. Also tries to excuse – but learn from – mistakes (archers effectively destroyed by not forming into ranks? Tell ‘em next time. By the way, they all escaped by climbing trees except one. Ha). A bit ambitious, as he wants to do his job well not only to protect the innocent, but also to be given larger armies to command. So far, his superiors think he’s doing a good job.

Turmith, on the other hand, is veteran and impassive, but good pals with Elfinwë in down time. Trains energetically, has a voice that carries well, loves backgammon oddly enough, blue eyes, dark hair, loves his horse, cool-headed in battle. Marital status unknown. That shiny sword belonged to his grandfather.

Recently overheard on Spiderman: The Old Bad Animation – “The next two components will arrive by submarine, jet, and armoured car!”

When I went clothes shopping with Mom, I also had a new ‘watch’ put in my ‘battery’ because the old one had run down.
