Bayn

Um. Really wanting to draw tonight, but everything is coming out not so good. Must have exhausted my creativity for a bit… or maybe I’m not pushing myself hard enough. Either or. : P

Anyway, this is supposed to be Bayn, but he’s pretty elusive and it’s probably not actually a very good picture of him.

Oh wow. Cyclists are INSANE. An article about Ryder Hesjedal – and pain. (grabbed from his Twitter)

Was informed that today is Gunpowder Plot Day. So I drew a picture. That’s my adorable little pyromaniac, Gullac. Here’s to you, Kira!

The quote is from the Villainous Quote thread on the NaNoWriMo forums. I am totally using it in the novel myself.

Ctrl+J is fab.

Tweaks coming tomorrow. And additions.

Can YOU name everyone here?

EDIT: Check the characters page! It is now covered in chibis. Except for the last four characters (Evylyin+Dymunde, Lyra, Lakia, and Cassandra) because I don’t consider them important enough. Comment if you disagree.

And I found a way that’s easier than Ctrl+J to make transparencies. lol.

EDIT 2: I tweaked a few of the chibis on the character page. Marteth’s head looks a little less like a football (still not ideal, though), Anne’s wing is the proper size, Jalril’s eyes are golden, and a few other colour changes. Cheers!

Mini Sketches

Brightly coloured faces!

Brightly coloured faces!

And then there's Joe.
And then there’s Joe.

Mini Sketches
drawn between Sep 9, ’09 and Mar 1, ’10
(630)

Hi! This is a small, brightly coloured, neatly arranged sample of sketches that I accomplished at school or related to school, as these are on mini-flashcards. The blue and green ones are on Latin flashcards; the pink ones are when I decided to devote a whole pack of these to drawing – they come on a handy ring, even.

So! From the top is Flairé, asking if I’m going to put his name in Latin (Flaireus?) and then a random and really bad sketch of Fiora the pegasus knight from FE7, and then Zela, moody and broody as usual, with a list of descriptive terms on the back, which I shan’t list here as we know them already, then Rana (cover of part 2 of the Latin, with her name declined in singular), and then Tam is the cover of the random sketchies (he’s a little skinny, but I’m actually quite pleased with him!) and then a dramatic picture of Flaer (woooot luv ya buddy) and then Menad, smiling to show the dimples (a new development when I drew that) and with one of his two dogs, and then Bayn and Lyrestan to try to show the difference between them (fail), and then someone who could be Mathaning.

And then Joe the elf. Oh my.

I built my dream house in Sims3! There are no musical instruments besides the guitar, and I want to put an organ in, so I just put the biggest sound system they had and called it even. But you should see my brother’s ridiculous house. It’s… ridiculous. It’s five stories and he lives alone. The first floor and a half are all that are furnished at the moment. The bottom floor is for parties. So there’s a kitchen big enough to feed an army (appropriate, considering the guy is in the military). The cabinets cost a ridiculous amount alone. And he lives upstairs with his cheapo furniture scattered haphazardly across the unfinished space. He works one day a week as an astronaut and then paints the rest of the time.

I LOVE ORGAN in case you didn’t receive that sentiment yet. I had a lesson yesterday, and although the Duruflé sounded like crap the ending was pretty glorious crap. FULL ORGAN. Wow, I get an adrenaline rush just thinking about it. Also, the Alix Goolden organ has a working console. AWESOME.

I use too many caps.

Guild Wars Screendump

Eee! I been playing Guild Wars!  I also found out how to take pictures without the… extra screen clutter! I think I may be taking some screenshots of very ordinary things. But they’re still cool to me, and some of you don’t play Guild Wars, so I think it’s forgivable.

So, since last time, here’s what we’ve been up to.

gilwadump3kellanface My brother got a new helmet he’s very happy with. Kehheh.

gilwadump3spider I hate this area of Kryta, but I love this spiderweb with accompanying spider. Isn’t that cool? …No, it’s not going to get me.

gilwadump3pig In keeping with the animal theme of this post, here is a happy pig. : D

gilwadump3flairedead If you ever wanted to know what Flairé looks like dead, here you are. : P Pretty pale, isn’t he?

gilwadump3sunset I just love the graphics in this game. They are fantastic without taking up too much processing power. (still hadn’t figured out how to get rid of screen clutter) So, just a group shot watching the sunset knee deep in water by a waterfall!

gilwadump3waterfall ’Nother group shot by a waterfall! This is the sort of shot that posters are made of. My fire imp is misbehaving, though. : ) I really like this picture.

gilwadump3flaire Flairé, at Fisherman’s Haven, sitting on the end of the dock with all the cool baskets and boxes. I could see this being a graphic somewhere, too.

gilwadump3baynproto Messing around with the one empty character slot I have, and this would be a prototype of Bayn! If he was a Mesmer. Which he very well might be. But not yet. And he wouldn’t be wearing purple. It could also be Lyrestan, come to think of it…

gilwadump3esgalwenproto Prototype of Esgalwen! Ranger class. Too bad you can’t get black hair in Ranger models. Also wouldn’t be wearing purple.

gilwadump3waterfall2 Another inspiring group shot by a waterfall. What is it with waterfalls? This is in The Falls area right in the very West of Kryta, and as you can see there are still Wind Riders hanging around in the back of the shot. Man, those things were annoying. Killed me about five times at the actual The Falls (not here). Which is a level 1 object for some reason. Why? Oh, and this was about the point when I discovered “Shift+PrtSc” makes lovely pictures.

gilwadump3flaireorion Flairé and Orion, buddies! Yeah! …I’d also see this as a graphic somewhere. Like a bookmark or something. It’s colourful and sparkly.

gilwadump3crabsoup Crab soup cooking on a beach in Lion’s Arch. Did I mention how much I love the detail in this game? Always something new and quirky waiting to be found everywhere!

gilwadump3flairetall Tall Flairé is tall. In case you didn’t already know. That guy seems kind of disgruntled. Oh, so I visited the Menagerie! And the collector in me wants to go out and fill it up with all the animals I can catch. But… then I’d have to give up Rithil, my Melandru’s Stalker (exotic mountain lion) and I don’t quite want to do that yet… What Flairé really wants is a Raven. But those can only be found in Eye of the North. I’ll get there eventually. But first, hang on to Rithil, then let her go when I feel it’s appropriate… then catch all the critters I can and release them at the Menagerie! Then get a Raven and train it until it is awesome.

gilwadump3froggilwadump3crab Also from the menagerie! Not catchable animals, but soooo cool and also cute nonetheless! And they move really nicely!

Sunday’s comic page is in colouring mode, so it should be on time (for once). My Beethoven is really getting good, but the Dutilleux… leaves something to be desired in the final variation. And the Duruflé… I listened to the Prelude again yesterday, and it is FAST. Omigosh. I might have to work a little harder on this. I also need to know when I’m playing the Bédard on Saturday. So much music! So much art! So much videogaming! (I finished Phantom Hourglass, by the way. The stupid Ghost Ship is a huge pain because its ‘canonballs’ are so hard to target. And I would like, eventually, a game in which Tetra kicks butt in her own right, instead of being (forgivably) comatose all the time. Linebeck ended up pretty cool, though. Anyway, on to Ephraim’s Story!)

Also, I miss my friends. I get to see one on Monday, though!
