linksadicon So. Yeah. The Silver Helms charge and the men-at-arms run away. Surprising, that. There are five of them, I just didn’t draw two because they wouldn’t fit on my silly road. That isn’t runes on Elfin’s sword, either – it’s blood. I wonder if I actually killed some guys or if they just ran away. I wouldn’t be surprised. : P

And yeah, mages are magey… not much to say there. Damsel’s head is squished. Not a very interesting page. Sorry. Next page is even less interesting!

Check back tomorrow to see what the blue-eyed commander has been up to! : P

I keep playing games against my brother and losing. It’s a little annoying, except when the battles are short. Also I draw faces all the same, which is even more annoying because it seems to take a lot of effort just to get them looking good and all the same. It must be even harder to get them looking right and all different! Whoa… mind-bender. But I drew a lot of faces yesterday, and I’m happy with most of them aside from the ‘all looking the same’ thing.

I’m still addicted to writing my story TTatJ, although it has hit sort of a brick wall in terms of imagination… I keep hammering at the last scenes in Chapter 5 but they all sound stupid. OH WELL CHAPTER 6 HERE I COME. Let’s see if anyone gets killed yet! …Btw, anybody want to volunteer as proofreaders? To give me comments and critique and suggestions on how to make it less stupid? Hey, it has an original plot and 80% original characters!

I’m going to go practice SSBM after I get cleaned up from my run. We’re missing a Kirby Smash trophy! How did that happen!?!? Or piano. Or I’ll try drawing Link again and add a few kalmaei for kicks. I really need a new sketchbook. I have about six pages left! All of a sudden! O_O7

Okay, I got the Kirby Smash trophy, got a few more Marth trophies, finished Chapter 5, and was left to my own devices for a couple hours, so I’m feeling chipper again. Huzzah! I lost the Warhammer battle today, as well, but I found a 20-use free GIF animator and I made a short (1M) animation of one of my friends smiling creepily because he does that. <_<   >_>

I keep editing this post. My bad.

aiwelossnowicon Yeah. One survivor. One scout made it through the Bretonnian phase. Fabulous. Not much you can do with one scout, even with their Ballistic Skill of 4. And yeah, I am terrible at drawing cornfields. Not sure why the crow died in panel one as well as its victim. The building-y thing is that blue-roofed barn that pops up in a lot of Warhammer things, though I think I fancied it up for purposes of this picture. Let’s see if I can find it.

Here it is.

Check back tomorrow to find out… what happens in the next turn. Exciting, I know. But it has a picture of the mage!

I am so addicted to writing The Tactician and the Jewel. I stare at it for five minutes and then I write a paragraph and then I read it through again and add another paragraph. It’s hard getting everyone to do stuff and be interesting and be in character! I did jump ahead and add a climactic scene in Chapter 6 because it was hanging over me and I thought I should get it down before I forgot it. I should put the one in Chapter 7 sometime before I change it beyond all recognition. Well, I think I’m about halfway through Chapter 5. They’ve taken shelter from the snowstorm. Now the hero is going to slip and hit his head. Because he’s just that unlucky. I mean, everyone else gets hurt, why should he escape? And how the heck is the boss going to show up? I have no idea whatsoever how this chapter is going to end. Exciting!

I WENT FOR A RUN THIS MORNING!! I’m pretty proud of myself, since I haven’t gone in, what, a month? I went at about 9:00, which was rather late… if I had gone at 7:00 like I planned it would have been much cooler. But I stayed up until 11:00 last night writing TTatJ, so I slept instead. Oh well. Better luck tomorrow, since I don’t work today! I do, however, need to play a tiny Warhammer battle with my brother. Pickles. Go go Celebtholi!

I lost miserably.

He’s also asked me about playing A Lord of Bretonnia, but for some reason that really doesn’t appeal to me. It looks interesting… and then you get the Lord’s Tax, season after season, phrased either all the same or all the differently same, whichever sort of scribe you are. It got really boring for me the last time we played. Fortunately, he seems to have begun playing it solo – without me, that is. Which makes me happy.

I drew another picture of Ceniro which came out as good as my expectations yesterday. I drew a certain other character entirely from memory, and he came out pretty well! Though he looks more girly than usual. And there’s a background! …I want Photoshop 5.

I learned how to play Planxty George Brabazon (The Chieftains, from their CD ‘Water in the Well’) yesterday at work using the power of my mind. Well, no, but it played in my head over and over and I could hum it, so when I got home I got out my violin and I played it. Not perfectly, but I played all the right notes without too many mistakes.

By the way, the latest page of No Need for Bushido is sugary sweet and makes me squeal happily. Oh, Cho. Shame on you. :)

Lots of bread and cinnamon buns in the house! Glee. Also my favourite CDs on my iPod on random. More glee!

Running my desktop

Hullo! This is a very boring post, really, so don’t read it if you don’t care about fitness and food and self-image. You have been warned.

I went for a run again today. It was tiring. I wish I was lighter. But I’ll keep working on it. I guess sitting around all day reading and playing computer games is not the way to get lighter. But it’s gotten hot out. BC-hot, which I think doesn’t even begin to measure up to anywhere-else-hot, but still too hot for me. I was actually sweating when I got back from my run. It’s rather interesting.

I made a rather different drink afterwards, too. 1 cup milk, half a (half-green) banana, a spoonful of peanut butter, a big glop of vanilla yogurt, half a spoon of Splenda, a tablespoon of chocolate whey powder, and half a spoon of cocoa powder. Also half a mini-bagel, but that didn’t go in the drink. Blend, pour into glass, and drink. Normally it’s just the milk, the whey powder, and a touch more Splenda and cocoa. I just randomly decided to put more stuff in. Maybe this is why I’m not getting lighter? : P

Now I’m thirsty again.

The skin all over me has turned strange colours… my sunburned shoulders are a lovely shade of burgandy, while the skin just below the burn is a beautiful balsa wood colour. Even the skin on my arms ranges from pale brown on the top to pale on the bottom. Unfortunately, humans are not usually burgandy coloured, and all these colours together look really really awful. And my face is closer to burgandy than pale, and it’s more than being naturally bashful. : P

I’m hoping to mostly solve both these problems – skin and fitness – by the time school starts again. Not to mention the ability to get up early in the morning. I have been going to bed earlier, though! That should help!

I added a bunch of random things to my desktop… if you were ever wondering what my desktop looks like, here you go.

I wish my floor was this clean...

I wish my floor was this clean...

Soooo… there you go. If you ever wondered. (the Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader belong to my brother!! (nods vigorously)) And Network does nothing, I just like having Midna’s face on my desktop. When my recycle bin is empty, I get Link’s face instead of Wolf Link’s snout, too.

Running into swords but not literally

I went running! It was a little bit cool out, and it was very lightly raining… the rain in my hair afterwards was like tiny bits of crystal. It was pretty (the rain, not my hair. My hair was rather awful.) And I have shiny new shoes! Shiny shiny shiny. Well, they’re not shiny anymore. I took them on the trail in the rain, so now they have tiny bits of bark mulch stuck to them.

I do love the smells around when it’s raining in the summer… there’s the smell of warm wet trees, warm wet grass, warm wet concrete, warm wet bark…

Flairé: Warm wet muifrurd

You shut up.

Flairé: Aw.

The other thing I have to blog about today (lots to blog about today, for some reason…) is swords. I’ve been looking at ‘em. On the interweb. I’m looking for a Zela-type sword. Oddly enough, I’ve found this shiny at three different sites (search ‘classic medieval decorator sword’ if it doesn’t appear on the last one), all $9 cheaper than the last one.

Another sword with the same vague shape is this one, which looks pretty nice – clean lines, a little bit more intricate than perhaps a purely historical sword.

This one is quite plain, and not the right shape of cross piece, but it has a heavy pommel (even if not an amythest orb, but whatever – where on earth would I find that anyway?) and black on the handle of the hilt, and it has a good looking blade. And it’s spring steel!

Here’s a super cheap one with similar characteristics, although I think I actually like the straight cross piece of the previous one rather than the dramatically curved cross piece.

Okay, take a look at this. Here’s Glamdring-of-the-movie (another contender) with a nice shape of hilt and a good long blade – but it’s the cheap one. Here’s the real collector’s one. Doesn’t it look so much better? Of course, there’s a $165 price difference between them. Heh. That would be why.

I’m not sure which one I want yet. I’m still thinking, and looking. It’s a terrible decision to have to make. :P

And that’s all I’ve looked at so far. Later, perhaps tomorrow, I’ll give you a hint as to why I’ve started thinking about it now. I mean, besides the fact that now I know two people who personally own swords.

gullacavFinally, a Nayru semi-serious portrait to match (and surpass) Ralph’s. I left out the hands because I knew I would ruin them. The anime hair doesn’t go so well with hairstrokes, either. But the tunic came out vaguely okay.

Why am I sleeping so much? I have no idea.

This morning my brother and I watched an episode of the Original Star Trek. Heeheehee. Scotty has a girlfriend! Whoohoo. We have that channel because it comes with the channel that has the Tour de France  on it, and the Tour de France is of course the most important race in the world. :P :)
