Sick? Not Sick?

Well, I don’t want to worry anyone too much, but………

I’m not particularly sick, just like we thought. I’m not showing signs of strep (doctor took a swab just in case) and I’m not showing signs of anything else. She said it was probably fading, and just a little more tenacious than usual. She also sent me to get a blood test just to make double sure. She said it could also be because I had classes… paper… rehearsals… and now I have NOTHING and my body is like “wait, what?” and is overreacting to the sudden absolute lack of stress.

…Maybe I can still blame it on Eros.

Anyway, I’m feeling cheeky, so maybe I will draw a picture of a chicken today. Because I have chicken noodle soup. And toast. And a cookie.

Filler + update

E+P filler

drawn Dec 11, ’11

(785)

So, classes are finished… I am somewhat unnaturally tired, which is one reason why you haven’t been flooded with art/writing/yay. The other reason…… you can probably guess from the nature of this filler.

(Psyche is SO CUTE!! XD )

Also, I kind of like the top picture of me… while the bottom picture gives my hair the unfortunate appearance of being made of ramen. …I’m not eating that much ramen. : P

So, I’ve done a lot of sleeping, a little shopping, a little video gaming, a lot of cooking, a lot of talking, and more sleeping.

Cooking? I made gingerbreads yesterday, apple pancakes today, and pizza also today! The pizza = not as good as my mom’s, but pretty darn good for a first solo try, imo! So I have decided to learn how to cook, until I get my energy back and can do something useful. Also it’s so sweet – the guys wash the dishes for me because I make them food. : 3

So, I may visit the doctor tomorrow. Someone suggested I start doing major physical exercise and seeing if that helps. It probably will. But on the other hand… what if it’s something else? I keep waking up with a majorly sore throat, and I occasionally feel vertigo for no reason, in addition to the sleeping-too-many-hours. So yeah, I will visit the doctor tomorrow. If I can find one.

Dunno what else to talk about? The public library is very nice and quite high-tech? The shoppers are getting a little bonkers? I was sent one of the family Advent Calenders so I can count down the days and read the verses? I love Czech choirboys? I beat Guild Wars with Thari’s help? Now I’m beating it again with a different character, and picking up on a bunch of foreshadowing that really isn’t apparent if you only beat the game over the course of two years? I met Timothy Vernon the other day? It’s snowy and sunny outside the last two days?

But for now, it’s cookies and eggnog timez!!!

Incoherent babbling

Hey guys! I don’t have anything to actually say, I just imagine I do. But to let you know on the artistic front: I finished one project and am working on Chapter 12 of the Esgalwen story. Probably won’t be done tomorrow. But it is in progress.

On the domestic front: making cookies tonight!

Concerts: went to a fantastic one of my classmate this afternoon! I had to go to the 10:30 Mass at church, the one with the dozens of kids and the Christian pop (that stuff drives me crazy…) but it was totally worth it to hear those pieces, played very well by someone whom I vaguely know. Franck violin sonata, Libby Larson’s Final Words of Henry VIII’s Wives (or something – very frightening songs!) and also a Mozart violin sonata thingy and four fun Spanish songs! Then this evening I went to a… decent concert (well, Carol Service) put on by the local RCCO. I think my cellist might have been there? But I wasn’t sure. Anyway, I did see a couple singers I know. Not to talk to. The organist tried to play the Vierne Symphony 1 Finale, buuuuut the building wasn’t reverberant enough and also he made some mistakes. Maybe I’m being too picky. I couldn’t do better myself at the present time. Also it’s very hard to co-ordinate an organist facing the wrong way inside a tiny box and also a Salvation Army band conductor who can’t see him, which wasn’t for the Vierne, but for the Handel.

On the research front: discovered today why (possibly) the cor anglais is called the English Horn. And no, it’s not because it’s English.

On the musical front: I get to meet my saxophonist tomorrow!

On the Pocky front: mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Pockyyyyyyyyyyyy…………

Stuff

I don’t actually have anything to say, but I thought I should post so you know I’m not dead. Also I probably have things to say and just don’t know it yet.

Stuff #1: it snowed the other day! Just a little, and it melted by lunchtime, but that’s a first.

Stuff #2: I’m reading a story called Mask of Shadow and it is cool. I’m on Chapter 3. Funfun!

Stuff #3: I’m working on Chapter 11. There should only be three more chapters in the story, although I’m still wondering what the end of Chapter 11 is going to be. I have nothing exciting to put there yet.

Stuff #4: Had a FANTASTIC choir concert today. If you weren’t there, you missed the most hilarious performance of Fum, Fum, Fum in the history of ever. Also some really beautiful singing.

Stuff #5: School is almost done for the term except for opera rehearsals, which will pick up after other rehearsals finish.

Stuff #6: Black Cherry ice cream is delicious and a good source of writer fuel.

Room painting is manly

Or so says my housemate. XD

In other words, the weekend project is 95% done, and is so far successful. The third coat of paint (one coat primer, two coats paint) did the trick. Now I just have to tidy up the tools (I already washed the brushes, no worries), remove the painter’s tape, and wash the floor because there are still a couple spots of congealed dust from when I last washed the floor. : P And then I’ll wash the kitchen floor, because eww.

And then I have to learn Italian! Big test on Tuesday, apparently.

Hey all you Guild Warriors! I got to the volcano islands! Whoop whoop. Got my eyes set on new armour, too. But I think it might be best if I not play until next weekend – play time is over for now. (EDIT: I should really credit Thari for keeping me alive during all that. Apparently my current armour is so terrible I actually take extra damage for wearing it. Eep!)

Still haven’t had time to finish my digital commissions. Blech. Must finish tomorrow. How irritating it is to need sleep. Also, want to work on Chapter 11 of Esgalwen’s story. Also, hearing that Skyward Sword is a good game makes me want to work on my Twilight Princess fic. Apparently Link is adorasquee.

First Sunday in Advent? Madness! Actually, I’m a tiny bit disappointed that I took just a little too long blow-drying my hair this morning, and showed up halfway through the opening hymn of O Come, Divine Messiah. With the wealth of Advent and Christmas carols, I doubt we’ll be singing that in church again.

I GUESS I BETTER SING IT MYSELF.

Shower and bed.
