Well, here’s the second last page of the comic, and what a depressing page it is. Oh well.
Check back tomorrow to see the vaguely exciting conclusion to the battle!
Ia heass nuuuurrrrngessss saun lyrhya, because I couldn’t get to sleep last night because of blamey Lord Pent. He’s one of the most attractive guys in Fire Emblem in all ways (looks, personality, and awesomeness) and everytime I read Bouquet (a lovely Pent/Louise fanfic) I can’t go to sleep until late-
Oh. Our brand-new speakers are waking up the neighbourhood now. Ow my backside. It’s rumbling.
If you like Pent/Louise fanfics, I have to also recommend this one: A Thousand Miles. The author calls it “sugary, tooth-rotting stuff”, and it is, but I like it anyway because of that and because it fills me with glee. It’s perfect. Of course, Bouquet is so well written it’s almost (almost, but not quite) canon to me…
Anahoo, they’re the best married couple in videogame history, and that’s the end of that. Except I’m not grateful for the insomnia. Pickles. : P I traced their official art yesterday, and Pent is my desktop now, though I wish there was an actual desktop for him because that would be wonderful. I guess I’ll just have to get Photoshop and make my own to be happy with it.
I went to a dance thing yesterday, and y’know, there were only three or four people I knew there, and two of them were girls, so at first I just sat and watched the band for the first song-and-a-half. Then I remembered I was going to use Flairé as a role-model – he gave me the courage to penetrate the crowd of strangers, apparently just sitting around and eating, the second time I walked up to them, and to find Jon, first off. Flairé’s cool, calm, and collected, and would have just strolled on in there and found the people he was looking for just like that. And when the music started, he would have been the first one up, partner or no partner. And then he told me he was in the band (I could see he wasn’t, but I could imagine him performing if I didn’t look at them) so, what choice did I have but to get up and dance, even by myself? And now I have something like five mini-blisters from wearing dress sandals and it was worth it. (though I may change my mind once I go to work…) “Just never keep your feet still,” he said to me. I can do that. The crowd of strangers eventually formed a mambo line, but I was having fun doing what I was doing so I didn’t join them. Afterwards, one of the band said ‘nice dancing’ so I guess I was graceful, whatever else I was. It’s all thanks to the swishy-skirt!
I completely rewrote the first half of Chapter 6 of The Tactician and the Jewel, cutting out about five pages of stuff, so I think it works better now. Mr. Crazy is just as crazy as he ought to be while still being recognizable. Phew. Started the first paragraph of Chapter 7. This is one of those chapters that it’s harder to start than to continue, I think, so I just have to keep working at it until something appears on the screen. If you’re desperate to change the plot of the chapter from “valiant rescue” to “epic defence”, go vote! –>
I have Sinfonias 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 memorized. I’ll have to listen to my Brendel recording of 5 a ton because it is a pain to understand.
Movie tonight with folks, and less than a week to Othello! Huzzah!
