esgalwenavatarAh, now this is a Photoshop picture. I didn’t know much about using Photoshop as a paint program, but I did my best. I also didn’t know much about shading anatomy. >_<7 The lips are good, if nothing else. The eyes are also just how I imagined them. I rather like the hair, which was done by drawing different coloured streaks of yellowy-brown – must be easier with a tablet – and using the smudge tool. It’s the coloured version of this picture.

We finished watching Pride and Prejudice today, Mom and I! Hooray! She decided to read the book, even though it will take her a long time.

portrait3Here are 5 zillion pictures of Glorfindel in mini form. I like the rock on his base… he was painted with Tamiya, again. I had trouble shading the cloak because I still didn’t know much. I used gold paint in his hair in an effort to make him truly ‘golden-haired’ because everyone I see is either white, silver, cream, yellow, or at best, flax. So the last shot shows it pretty well. I think it’s still not good enough, and I’m going to do more next time. I also like the moss on the rocks, and Asfaloth’s harness, and the lovely colour of green I used for the harness. It’s Tamiya “Sky”. The little blue tassels have silver bells, like the book says he had, and the sword is shiny again.

Sometimes I call one of them “Glorfindol”. Not anymore.

Lots of stuff will be basecoated tomorrow! Link will be white, the bolt thrower white, and I guess the horses ought to be white as they’re going to be light grey, but I thought I should paint something black since the shadows show up better… Oh, well, white it is!

I BEAT TWILIGHT PRINCESS!
Which means I have no excuse to not finish Koholint, so I will write that next! I also am warming again to the idea of making a TP movie of the game for my mom, and a set of “graphic novels” (I prefer to call them manga even when they’re L-R), and a claymation movie based on the manga. I also drew two funny pictures last night.

Towards achieving that goal, here’s Chapter 3 of MoDttIoD (a.k.a. Majora’s Mask)!

We saw a show on the Discovery Channel – about the sinking of a giant plane to create an artificial reef – which happened near Comox!

elfiniconGlorfindel! And Asfaloth! Asfaloth doesn’t look as bad as my horses usually do. I still can’t draw horse chests. I should study sometime. I tried to make everything other than him and his horse dark so that he would stand out. He is supposed to have a sort of glow, I think. Like the elves in the Shire, where a faint light falls about their feet. Unfortunately, the shadow faded. Frodo came out well also, and look! It’s Aragorn! Wow! Sort of. Sam is the hobbit just behind him, Merry is the one behind Glorfindel, and Pippin is behind Asfaloth. I had trouble scanning this. It didn’t want to pick up Glorfindel’s arm or waist.

Whoo! Ben replied to my Quartet message. So now there is a violinist and a violist for sure! Yaaay!

I bought Tsubasa Vol. 7 because they didn’t have 6. Oh well. The curly haired lady is named Oruha (-san). I couldn’t remember. Fai needs a hug.

We went to a model ship show this morning. There was a pond and there were lots of remote-controlled mini tugboats, including a model Emily from Theodore Tugboat, and also a model Bismark that went really fast, and one sailing ship, and an aircraft carrier, and three or four submarines. Those last really dived, too. But it was cold and wet.

Third-to-last Timeless Ocarina chapter up. This one’s long and sappy. Skip at your leisure.

aiwelosavatarGlorfindel strikes down the evil Balrog! I think this picture is really cool, although the hero is just standing there and the path is empty of the hundreds of frightened refugees that should be there. I like his cloak, for one thing, and the eagles are not bad. That round thing is the moon. Glorfindel’s helmet got knocked off because I wanted to see his beautiful hair.

Today I just had choir. No Collegium. I learned the choir part, and now I have to abruptly switch to the orchestral part! Wah! Anyway, the choir should be ready by concert time.

Is it Col-leg-ee-um, Col-lej-ee-um, or Col-leej-ee-um? No one knows!

untitleddanceravatarAh, a picture of Glorfindel of Gondolin. With or without trees, ma’am? I drew him, and then I drew the wall, and then I added the city, but the city is junk so I re-deleted it in Photoshop and restored it to its original pristine brilliance. Or something like that. If you like the city, that’s fine with me. Terrible hands, but nice cloak. Maybe.

For the rain it raineth everyday”
- William Shakespeare (Twelfth Night?)

“The rain, it raineth every day
Upon the just and unjust fella;
But more upon the just, because
The unjust hath the just’s umbrella”
- Ogden Nash

Today in scripting I hope to prepare the script up to the point where action begins happening. There’s still a bit of talking after that, but it’s very brief until the action stops and the yakking begins again. I’m going to have about a zillion frames in this thing. When I’m done I’m going to put them all on their own DVD and delete them off my computer. I’m putting them on the DVD so that in future if I gain new technological/CG art advances, I can add them in without redoing all zillion frames. Heh.
