kentsainhorsesicon Fangirls are awesome? Who the heck told Edgeworth that fangirls are awesome? I guess because in this picture there’s only one of them and she’s a polite, well-behaved tiny little girl. And yeah, it’s the cravat that gets them. This is Edgeworth from the Phoenix Wright games. He’s a prosecuting attorney. He’s getting his own game! Which I cannot play for I have no DS. I should look into that; then I can play PW and FE11. Which is more than just FE11!

New chapter of Rekka no Ken up just below this post. Oh, stars above, how did that happen? I stayed up way too late listening to my favourite organ CD, that’s how that happened. I was reading through it and the first version is utterly useless. Especially all the bits that blatently point out it’s based off a video game, and the fact that I misspelled ‘cavelier’ and ‘murmer’ every single time. So… I changed those considerably. And Salir was acting like some sort of minor Mary-Sue. Ugh. It was some of the worst drivel I’ve ever seen, worthy to rival the drivel on FanFiction.net. Well, I’ve decided to re-organize the story. It’s in four parts, for each of the four parts of Ceniro’s career. I’m actually one chapter away (on the computer, not the blog) from finishing “Rekka no Ken, Vol. 1: The Tactician and the Heir: Lyn’s Story”. Boy, I need a better title. Any suggestions?

Mystery-man, Eliwood, and Hector haven’t had most of their stories written so hopefully it won’t come out so drivelly. Hopefully I can focus more on the main characters and not try and detail the (love) lives of all 40-50 characters at the same time.

Also, reading my story here on Adhemlenei, I realized that the sun’s reflection in the water makes it very difficult to read certain words. So I’m going to go with an earlier idea and put it in a white box and make the text black. And I need to link story chapters to adjacent story chapters for greater convenience. Not difficult, just time consuming. Will take me a couple of days as I reorganize my life again. Oh, and probably you noticed, but I rearranged the category links so they make more sense. Important stuff on top!

Now I need to go practice organ, go to work, go to rehearsal, and watch TdF. In that order. I don’t know if I’ll have time for the TdF. Draaaat.

zelabladedancericon Anyone else feel that the preponderance of tall, lean, strong men with loooooong silver/white hair in Japanese things is glaringly obvious? Well, I decided to draw a picture of both of them. Sesshie, as you can see, wears clothes much much closer to what he actually wears in the anime. Sephie, on the other hand, petered out before I got to his feet. I think I actually like Sesshoumaru better, because he’s not really the villain… also I think he is more handsome than Sephiroth, despite Seph’s black leather.

Not much to say except I’d better hurry – I work today, and then I have to practice piano AND watch the TdF! Oh noes! Also that I went to the Fire Emblem Wikia yesterday and OHMIGOSH THEY HAVE FIRE EMBLEM 8 ART. FOR GLEN AND FORDE AND FRANZ. (glomps Franz) I’ve never seen the art of those characters before yesterday. Lyon’s art is a bit lame, though. Also, Artur, INNES, Knoll, Marisa, NATASHA, Tana, and Syrene are awesome in artwork as well. And Cormag and Colm. And Deussel. Natasha is incredibly beautiful. No wonder Joshua fell for her. Hayden looks evil, though. And the artwork that I’ve seen before, well, Seth and Eirika and Ephraim are all still awesome. And Ewan. And Amelia. Heck, everbody’s awesome. I’m just excited that I can see their artwork.

Franz: Can you stop hugging me now?

androgangelsicon At this time, I was interested in, and watching through, the cutscenes of Final Fantasy XII on YouTube. Was quite taken with Larsa… he’s very admirable. Very heroic, and sure to grow into one of those wonderful naive, passionate, do-gooder heroes I admire so much. And handsome, with that pretty hair and nice voice. He stays noble, even tragic, even when his elder brother morphs into a salivating rampaging monster. : P

Anyway, I only started using a reference about halfway through the picture, which is why I think his shirt isn’t quite right… I tried to make it interesting with pen-stroke textures. I think it worked, although parts of it would have looked better smooth. As you can see the ear is not developed at all. Odd, that. I was working on it, though. You can see that in the last Zela picture.

Elfinessé was a little over a year old when I drew this picture. Huzzah!

Dad missed taping yesterday morning’s TdF, so we had to watch the ‘late’ broadcast, with Craig Hummer and Bog Roll doing most of the commentary. I have to say, I like Paul and Phil much better. They are less annoying somehow.

Man, watching Cervelo set up for Thor Hushovd was beautiful. But Cav is, sadly for him, just better. Columbia setting up for Cav is like clockwork, y’know? Cervelo managed to pull one just as good yesterday, though.

Piano, TdF, FE8 for Kevin, compose, make a cadence quiz, letters to write; that’s my list for today. And piano is all the way up at UVic in the bright sun. I’m playing FE8 for my brother because he’s not experienced enough a general to feel confident about beating Lagdou Ruins (Creature Campaign) yet. Or something like that. And he’s out of money even though he has about 20 Killer Axes from enemies, which aren’t cheap if he felt like selling them. So I’ll get him to the end of Lagdou, which will get him about 48,000G, and then he can go waste it on whatever he likes. Hopefully he’ll get Lyon soon, so he can use Naglfar and stop having to spend money on weapons almost entirely, except for training his lower level characters to the top. Man, I should do that with my game. But I shall beat Ephraim’s game on the third save file first, so I can write fanfiction that one person at least wants to read. Then I shall work on my Creature Campaign from my first save file.

I went for a run! I’m getting back into the habit, and in the mornings, even though I want to sleep in more. I should go earlier, though, because it just gets too hot to run for me. I wonder how easy those athletes would find our golf course. Probably small beans for them.

yasashisaniicon This is a vaguely interesting picture in that it’s the first time I’ve drawn Rinako since… well, the last time. Which was May of 2007. My style seems to have changed dramatically. The position didn’t come out exactly right, but… whatever.

Cavendish for green!!!

I keep forgetting to show you certain pictures of things I did a couple weeks ago… here they are!

These are stiff paper cut-out masks that you can buy in books, often at museums. I know I’ve seen the Egyptian masks at the Glenbow Museum in Calgary… Now, this is my whole collection, put together over about eight years or so. I started with Anubis, and then went R-L through the Egyptian ones, and then I switched to North American ones. I made the Iroquois mask at the request of my brother, who just loves running around sticking his tongue out at people. So that’s what I’ve done. There are only three more to do, but two of them are rather huge and not terribly interesting. imo.

For some reason I spent all last evening rating most of the music that I listen to in my iTunes. That means about a third, maybe half of all the music in my iTunes. I’m not sure why, but I feel some sense of accomplishment now. o_O7 My rating system is not so great because it implies that pieces that are just good music I listen to as much as pieces that are good music and that I love to bits. And sometimes pieces that I loves to bits don’t get such a high rating because I don’t like them as much as a different piece I like better, but the first one that didn’t get such a high rating I still listen to more than another piece that got a higher rating. Blah. Very confusing.

Went to salsa tonight for the first time in months. Jon still remembers me! Must remember to go back next week; ’tis incredibly fun even when the group’s total repertoire equals six steps up from basic. Also met a girl visiting from Italy. Cool!

linksadiconThe music of Together for Tomorrow, a track on Future Soundscape II, inspired me to draw the Tsubasa gang at the beach. I’m not sure why this one is so far out of order, but there it is. I wonder what Mokona will do to Kurugane’s sandcastle.

Christmas was lovely! I was given lots of good stuff, including near half-a-dozon total movies, including The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is a beautiful movie. Jack is so melodramatic and cool!

I’ve also been talking a lot to BY recently. He’s nice to talk to. He has a weird RPG called Fable II. He also has a lovely piano. And cats. And driftwood batons. And an awesome entertainment system.
