sainsalirvalentineiconThe guy at the top is a Mercenary class, but I gave him a big shoulderpad so he can upgrade to Hero-class without too many hassles. He has blue-green hair and eyes, but I still think he looks too much like Raven. He’s also got a red shirt with a blue undershirt, and the shoulder pad is brown with grey spikes (oh, how very interesting. >_<7) He might be the brother of the peg knight shown yesterday.

The guy at the bottom has, like I said, creamy crinkly hair. He’s (lord somebody) and a bit of a dandy about the hair. Since then we’ve determined that his name is Shale, which, I would say is a ‘totally awesome’ name. My brother is going to punch me now. I discovered, however, that verbally ‘punching’ – just saying “punch” or “poke” or “kick” gives the same sense of satisfaction but takes much less effort. World peace has advanced another step. Anyway, Lord Shale is a Sage-class. I said that, didn’t I. Huh. My brother says he looks too girly. I don’t care. I really like the pose on the left, which will be used for his ‘official art’ but the one on the right is what’s going to be used for his ‘talk-sprite’.

I drew a couple of pictures this morning. I also had a dream that may or may not advance Zela’s plot, though probably in book 3 or 4 because it was either about Marteth, the eldest of the missing boys, or Mathaning, the youngest.

Flentrop is Dutch. Walcker is South German, as opposed to von Beckerath who is North German. And Holtkamp is American.

ephraimvaltericonHere is a concept sketch of a pegasus knight for my brother’s Fire Emblem game, and a mini sketch for a shaman dude. My brother doesn’t like him. I thought that there should some more non-nobles – they were all nobles so far, or dressed like them (peg knights always wear fairly fancy-looking armour, even if they’re mercenaries, and tall boots and miniskirts). So shaman-dude looks a bit scruffy. On purpose.

If you can’t read the tentative colour assignments, the shaman is going to have shiny black hair and probably violet clothes. And that’s not even the part that’s written down. The peg knight is going to have grey eyes, a brightly coloured headband (perhaps with a flower pattern), greyish-green hair (I like that colour), and light blue armour with white detailwork. The shirt underneath might be red, but probably will be dark grey.

She looks too much like Tana, in my opinion.

As you can see, these actually came much earlier than I thought they did.

Shale comes tomorrow! Yay!

elrondandgaladrieliconHere are the famed social knights. I think the guy on the left is in green, and the guy on the right is in red. I forget whether my brother is planning to follow Fire Emblem ‘tradition’ and make red-knight strong, or if he’s going to go with FE7 and make green-knight strong. All I know is that he doesn’t like how I did the green knight. He says the hair is not right.

(he said to make it look like him, at least that’s what I heard…)

Anyway, the armour on these guys is not nearly right at all, but they’re also Recruits. They can live with it until they promote to Cavalier (I don’t like Armour Knights) and then to… Paladin! (I don’t like Great Knights)

Plus it’s already getting hard coming up with different faces + hairstyles for all the guys. Pickles. I will try to get at the other sketches that I did, but they’re in my sketchbook-box (it’s a magazine holder) and it’s on my shelf behind a bunch of National Geographics.

If you’re wondering why this picture looks so much better than some of the others I’ve scanned, it’s the scanner’s fault.

The next chapter of my story is being worked on. I discovered that just writing two sentances of outline helps me even when I know exactly what I want to do. I think I should probably work on some Fire Emblem stories, specifically the languishing Blazing Sword, which is only about… an eighth of the way through the game. Blaaaaah. And besides which, uh…

Did you see the new High Elf Warhammer minis? Unfortunately, unless you get the White Dwarf magazine, you can’t. Can’t see the ones I’m raving about, I mean. I just checked their site. But wow! Some good-looking elves! I am going to own that fabulous dragon some day. So I started working on my bolt thrower crew. They are getting somewhere, except I can’t decide on the hair colour of the one with hair. I wanted it to be red, because I like Mary-Jane, but he’s wearing red so it might look wierd. Blonde is too typical and he’d look wierdly tanned, and black is too typical also, even if I put wierd high-lights or something, so brown is all that’s left… Now I’ve got to be careful or he’ll look boring. To finish something would be nice.

Oh, and my brother pointed out that the new mounted mage looks rather like a critically-hitting Fire Emblem for GBA Paladin! Hmm! I should put together my pegasi for the pegasus knights, and go and buy the models for converting into their riders!

Too much to do!

Spiderman is still pretty good on a second watch. It’s actually better for me, since I’m not terrified out of my mind, and I can anticipate and actually enjoy what’s coming. I didn’t see the alleged poster that says “Serving, Protecting, Blah Blah Blah”.

WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

untitleddanceravatarTwo hundred and fifty pictures! Goodness!

Anyway, this is a really sweet looking archer, whom I guess comes at the beginning. What I’ve learned about him is that he’s the brother of the ‘social knights’ (see Kent and Sain) of my brother’s game. I think everyone’s going to be level 1: Cedric Lv 1 Lord, Lartan Lv 1 Paladin, archer lv 1 Archer, and knights Lv 1 Recruits. That’s right, Recruits. My brother wants them to get as much experience as possible, and thus starts them at basically level -10.

I played a bit of Heritage of Kings this morning. It’s a little frustrating when this guy named Pilgrim goes running off and gets killed. The nice bit is that you just need to stand someone next to him and then he ‘wakes up’. The bad bit is that he’s usually in the thick of enemy territory, and they have zillions of cannons everywhere. Ahaha, I do too now. Tower-based cannons are very useful.

Yesterday we heard the Studio Sparks full theme and Shearing’s Heigh Ho, the Wind and the Rain on Disc Drive.

Well, Excuuuuse Me, Princess.

anneiconLartan the stolid, scarred, and fairly boring looking general. If I ever get around to finishing enough of the sprites that my brother can actually write chapters, I’m not taking him. Lartan, I mean. I also drew him upside down on the paper. And I’m very bad at designing cool Fire Emblem armour.

I forgot to mention that I finished a couple of pictures the other day: a Photoshop of Link, and a new picture of Flaer and Zela.
