Oops, my bad. This one came before yesterday’s. But anyway, you notice the different style. This one is much more anime-flavoured, while the other one has some attempts at vague realism. Also, I failed at this one.

Man, how long has it been since I used the Fire Emblem category?

Let’s do more. : D

But wait! Secret project – and cyclists – first.

Iiiiiit’s Pent! Drawn back when I was kind of obsessing over trying to put him in Sims3. Still haven’t managed it to my satisfaction, not that I’ve done any work on that whatsoever since the Tour started.

I think I had things to say, but I have forgotten them. Well, I finished re-reading LotR, and y’know, last time, I really noticed how funny Tolkien is. He is hilarious. This time… I got a lot more of the sense of the incredible sadness… and a loooot of high language. Man. Talk about character-stripping. By the time the coronation rolls around, there are so many characters that used to have, well, character! And then they all start talking the same. And I wonder – you know, it talks about how Merry and Pippin were chilling in Minas Tirith, and then Legolas and Gimli roll up and they apparently do a lot of talking and laughing and being buddies, and I wonder – what did they talk about? It’s not important to the epic as a whole, but there’s an opportunity to see these people in ‘normal’ circumstances.

But the Scouring of the Shire is awesome. They come home, notice things aren’t right, and seize the initiative! Pippin goes all Gondor-knightly on some bully, and then Merry is like “lol, these guys have noooo clue about tactics!” and you know, they used to be ordinary hobbits, running terrified from Black Riders. Well, they’d still probably run from Black Riders. But you know what I mean. But now they have absorbed (by osmosis, you know) some of the bad@$$ery of the people they’d been travelling with, and of course hanging out with armies for months, you’re gonna learn something about tactics. So poof! they become great heroes at home as well as abroad. Get a chance to show what they’ve learned in the setting that fits them best. And I still cry at the end when Frodo goes away…

Also I’ve seen a lot of FE10 fanart recently. Maybe I should get on that, since it seems to get better, maybe, as it goes on. (But the first 13 chapters are soooo inane!!! >:O )

Ceniro biography portrait

And it’s our brave (actually – normal-couraged) tactician to next get his mug in colour. He’s from Fire Emblem 7 and he is quiet and smart and idealistic and likes wandering a LOT. Bio is here!

His boots are really worn out so he’s holding the leg parts together with bandages and string. Heheh.

Same colouring technique as last time. If I leave out the black outline, it looks kind of like a watercolour which is kind of cool. Except he doesn’t have eyelashes so he looks like a freak.

I think I should learn to draw Ceniro head-on because the back of his hair changes depending on which view I drew him from. : P

Hey, sorry if I made you worry yesterday. I had a rough spot for a bit. I’m good now! Hopefully I’ll keep going up, in general, in strength of all kinds. I don’t feel as WHEE as last week but that’s okay! That’s probably not a sustainable kind of strength anyway. Just as long as I can keep doing the right thing without harming anyone permanently, life will be good, neh?

EDIT: I’ll have to disagree with the above paragraph which was written a few hours ago: Whooooooooo!!!!! I have lost about 5 lbs in the last month. It just… slipped away while I wasn’t looking. My BMI is 21.6 which is right in the middle of healthy weight. I’m hoping to go down to about 125 lbs eventually, but hey! This is fantastic and I’m really happy about it. Considering how I’ve struggled these last four years to try to lose even a little extra weight, or to not gain any… I was hovering at 140 for a long time. I am going to attribute most of this to karate and some of it to running with L, although I did go for a run today around the golf course (instead of around the university) and I managed to run just as much as I used to. L goes awfully fast for her height. The good thing is that we tire at the same time. : )

Sooo… I’ll have a gorgeous figure for my grad recital? XD Come and see it, folks! My grad recital, I mean, not my figure. XD XD

Okay. I’m just getting lazy with the pictures now. This one was pretty much entirely done by: outline! flat colour! burn (darken shadows)! dodge (lighten highlights)! Also Wil’s hand is absolute garbage. This is based off an ooooooooooooold picture so maybe that will be a sort of saving grace but I doubt it. Anyway! Um, background is yoinked off Fire Emblem Planet . net but it’s actually from the game itself, so, thank you, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems! : P I also shortened Wil’s giraffe-like neck, but failed to realize this gives him an extruded torso. He’s not actually very tall; just Florina’s really really small. Also when I drew Florina way back when I did I basically traced the official art so her pose may look familiar.

I like blueberries! We had lots today.

Also the Outlaw of Gor is hardly bearable even in MST3K form. Just warning you. I kind of like the little guy but in the end he’s just as useless as everyone else in the movie. The best quote is (movie character) “Where the h*** are we?” (Mike) “You’re the h*** here!”

Also I’ve been sleeping a lot and having really weird dreams. People keep telling me I’m still sick so I’m going to see a doctor tomorrow hopefully.

Also Falstaff is sold out. Boo. But Henry V is not. Yay!

Also I use too many also’s. It’s like my favourite word or something.

Vikings! …Short version!

First off – yes, I cheated on the grass. Srsly, my attempts were looking pretty sad. Also – yes, the mountains look kind of bare.

BUT.

I like the smudgy tree things, and Ceniro himself didn’t turn out too badly.

It is based off this pencil sketch. I did the background all in the computer.

I been putting up recordings on YouTube! Organ recordings! They’re not as good as the actual performance but that was because I kept falling off the organ bench! : P

Also I watched Quest of the Delta Knights in MST3K mode and it is a movie which has a pretty loltastic version of history. It’s set in England… I think… but the accents are all messed up for the NPC’s… and Archimedes wrote in English, in a book bound with staples, about a prophecy leading to a cave in… England. I think. And I think he knew where Atlantis was but he was killed by the Romans before he could tell anyone. Also there seems to be an annoying midget in the tree camp but he doesn’t actually appear on camera. You just hear him screaming a lot. Oh, and Leonardo da Vinci is a smug b**** in the movie. Also the mentor and the villain are played by the same actor. And the kid looks a lot better with short hair.
