I have a shoulder angel and a shoulder demon, except I don’t imagine them as being small. You’ve seen the Angel in a few other drawings and paintings, including the header, but I think the Demon has only showed up in one so far, and maybe I haven’t even put that picture on the site yet. Mathaning
Messed around a bit with Corel Painter 12 again. I’ve found a really nice blend brush, but I’m a little wary of the fact that it doesn’t work ‘properly’ unless all the colours I want to blend are on the same layer, which is a thing I am used to doing. I’m a little paranoid of it, in fact, because I like to layer things so that I can move them around independantly, and if I really mess something up, I can just get rid of it later without having to redo everything. Anyway, I might work more on this picture later – it can be better. But I’m impatient, and I want to get something that looks finished as fast as possible, so I turn out a half-baked job on things like his face. And, well, everything, really. This picture was somehow inspired by Sarah Ellerton’s picture of Tam that I commissioned a couple years ago, hence the blurry foresty background. Someday I might paint as good as her. In the meantime, need to draw more shirtless boys, omnomnom. Mathaning doesn’t mind. He’s all right with that. He’s a goodnatured fellow.
