Soooooo I’m onna train, coming ‘home’ after a week with my grandparents. (It is a long train. Many hours.) It was a good visit – saw many relatives, and even some sightseeing, too!
I saw the new Tintin movie. I liked it! I never read the books as a kid, but my mom did. So I knew it was a thing that existed. But the movie is super fun and actiony, even if I completely disapprove of the portrayal of opera. It’s got good music and ridiculous sequences and I laughed a lot. I liked the voices and the CG, too!
I went to the art gallery and saw an exhibit about French art students in Rome. Very cool; my kind of art. Fewer naked people than expected. There was an area in which visitors could do their own drawing of a classically-themed plaster model (there were four – head, hand, foot, drapery) and I drew a bit there. There was also some strange modern art, and a digital performance of Thomas Tallis in the chapel (the grownups didn’t want to stay to hear the whole thing : P ) and we went and saw the Group of Seven corner. While passing through the Canadian Art section I saw a girl who looked a lot like me! Except in mid-19th century costume!
And I went to an aunt’s house (giant new house, wow) and played piano there! I played the Prelude (yay) and Toccata (boo) of the Ravel, and the first half (up the the Chicks) of Pictures at an Exhibition. My third-youngest cousin was very taken with the Pictures. Actually, all my cousins are hilarious.
Christmas was a noisy, busy, people-y affair. So many people! I was very surprised to be given so many presents. Also very surprised that my parents smuggled my stocking out to Ontario. XD I was given a kitchen mixer! That is probably the most exciting present, which is odd, because I was also given Silver on the Tree and Fromage: The Darker Side of Schloeffellonia. : P
In general news, Thari has a blog!! It has Tharash’s story on it!!! This is super exciting!!!! It’s called Fwynethwyr, which looks hard to pronounce. Just the way I like ‘em. : D It means Heaven and Earth, which is a very good meaning, imo.
I may post some art soon, but I have to create it, first. : P

Not his fault, but hair just can’t go in front of his eyes. My fellow conspirators and I had a good laugh over that… but it also meant he was the last one to get finished, because he was being difficult. : P
