I added Sophie (SORRY SOPHIE) and fixed Joel and Jesse’s hair. Because Joel had the wrong haircut, and Jesse had the wrong hair colour. Hope it’s better now. (Click for full.)

Today coffee worked for me! I think. I had a mocha at 9:30, and by 12:00 I was awake. By 12:30 I was bouncing off the walls and annoying my trio. Sort of. I’m not sure if they were actually annoyed. But I’ll assume on the safe side. : ) We did have a very successful rehearsal, with some in-depth work on the slow movement of the Ghost (which is an achievement in itself, y’know!) and some rough work on the first movement of the Chopin. I’m not sure I am physically capable of playing it to the metronome marking, even if I practice really hard. But we’ll see! It’s gonna be soooo prettyyyyyy.
Speaking of metrognomes, I have one now. A shiny new one that does forty-three different things and the dishes. …Well, not the dishes part. But it measures temperature when I’m not actually using it to beat time or tune, and I think it measures humidity, too. Isn’t that odd? And it ticks in every possible way… except without using a terrifying synthesized human voice like Professor Dowling’s. XD
I used it tonight, practicing Buxtehude.
Oh, so to continue with the saga of the Energizer-Jen, I had energy right up through to the last 20 minutes of Italian class, when my attention started chasing its tail. Which is still pretty good, because Italian ends at 9:00 and that’s after a very full day. I even had a good amount of energy until about 10:00. I practiced until 10:30 anyway, and then I came home, wrote on the Rifted Riders RP (wow I missed a bunch today) and drew Sophie.
Tomorrow, I hope, is equally productive!
In the meantime, I don’t like humidity because it messes up my hair and my skin and exaggerates the heat that still exists inside this house. Although it’s getting much better now that we’re into mid-fall. (Pretty trees!) So together with the skin and hair, I just discovered I am totally rocking the bloodshot-eyes insomniac look, so I’m really smokin’ right now. As in, I really wish I had some ninja smoke bombs so people didn’t have to look at me. : P Yeah, I didn’t sleep well last night, which is annoying coz I got to bed on time.
I need new shoes. My slip ons have cracks in the bottom. My socks get a little damp when it rains. …Rubber boots time! : D D’you know, I think the last time I had rainboots was when I was about 12.
And a classmate lent me Labyrinth (the one with smexy David Bowie, eeee) so I’m going to have to watch that this week because people have been telling me it’s fantastic since third year.
And some random first-year pianist who’s in Chorale said hi to me in the hallway this evening! That was really nice. Although I didn’t get his name, so I’ll probably forget who he is by tomorrow. : P
Oh! And I was going to finally write down that song I have in my head, about wings. I have decided this is a thing I should finish. Maybe get it recorded and put it on my YouTube channel. But I’d get a real singer to sing it. Except it might be difficult to find a real singer with a more silvery tone around here… most people have a lovely operatic voice but that’s not the sound I want. And I’m not singing it myself! Actually, I might, just to hear what I sound like singing, because I actually don’t know. : 3
