Eye Candy preview 2

drawn Oct 28, ’11

Well, this is going to be the other half of the picture I started last time. Still quite rough; even more rough than the last one. But yes, it is Gullac, being a shameless flirt. As usual. : P His hair is so hard! It’s going to be even harder to shade!

Going to a bar tonight. How out of character! And after discussing drinking habits (or lack thereof) at length with my trio this afternoon, I am going to have one drink so that I’m not a waste of space in the bar. Does that make me a hypocrite? I hope not. But anyway the reason I’m going is because the violinist is playing and said I should go. So I should go now.

And then! Busy day tomorrow! If you happen to be near the Paul Davenport Theatre at around 8:00 tomorrow, you should go inside and listen to us and some other people make African music. It will be super cool.

Say hello to Ffweiiless… because he apparently want to say hello to you. : P

Sometimes you have to solve your own problems. In this case the problem seems to be a lack of shirtless boys, but IRL shirtless boys make me uncomfortable, so I’m not entirely sure what that means.

Shading, background, and other character (s?) to come later.

ITunes is fixed!

Fantastic choir rehearsal today! Everyone should come to the concert on Saturday because it’s going to knock your socks off.

Quick Update

Quick update… My computer is once again healthy and fully functional, and it is lovely. Although I have switched to Firefox, even though it works differently from IE. Because I’ve been told it’s better.

Obviously did not get around to Livestreaming on Sunday… I still have to redownload iTunes and the tablet drivers, too. So no E+P this week, and probably not a lot of Livestreaming either because I just discovered the BEST time to practice – late at night, that time that I usually spend on the computer. SO. I am so pleased with this discovery. This was not a feasible thing at home, because the music building closed at 11… And I lived a rather longish walk away… And my brother is a fan of early bedtimes… But anyway! So I think I have found something that works for me. I’ve already practiced 9 hours in two days – and that’s more than I have gotten some weeks. So it’s a good start. Naturally, it will diminish on Tuesday and Wednesday because I have rather long academic days then, but hopefully I’ll get at least an hour in. And then Thursday is all right, although I still have Italian. And Friday is clear… This Friday… dare we hope… shall we have a trio coaching? (gasp) That would be shocking. But at least maybe some organ playing! I’ve been working on the Gigue Fugue a little bit every time I practice. Today I tried ‘ghosting’ the pedals (because there are no pedals on a piano). It was HARD. Hopefully it will be easier on organ. Speaking of organ, I finished the bio on Widor and it was fantastic. I finished it because my computer was out, but it was worth it anyway. I want to go and find some of his other music now. Also, there was an odd fact… Duruflé apparently studied in his composition class, but told everyone that he only studied composition with Paul Dukas. I checked my Duruflé bio BECAUSE I CAN TOTALLY DO THAT XD and that fact is not in there. And that book was only published a few years ago… (2007?) Is this a new fact, discovered at the last minute? The Widor book is from 2011, so that’s like 3 years to find new stuff. How odd.

I’m rambling! Whooo!

Borkedness

My computer is in a mess. It started to happen even before the power outage on Wednesday night, so I don’t think that’s related. (But seriously, ON, you call that a windstorm? I dunno why the power went down, but if it was wind-related, in BC that’s nothin’.)

Anyway, so apparently my computer has decided I’m not allowed to have access to my security settings, which makes me make this face: >:I

iTunes won’t open, so I can’t even listen to Eric Beaudry anymore while I’m trying to fix it… :’(

Google searches only link to random adsites, and every once in a while when I open a new tab, another tab will pop up linking to an adsite (I guess they think I’ll be too dumb to notice, huh? Now that makes me really mad. >:O ).

My tablet won’t work, so you won’t be getting any digital art until I fix these other problems and redownload the drivers. |:<

So… I don’t think my computer’s dying, not really… but it’s definitely sick and needs more in the way of expertise than I have to give it. :/

Visiting the computer place this afternoon.

P.S. Pretty sure that the firefighters enjoy barrelling down the road outside my house, sirens wailing and horns blaring. I mean, the siren’s loud enough! Do they just like blasting their horns too? And they do this EVERY DAY. I understand it’s always an emergency, and that with all the idiot kids on this block there’s an emergency quite frequently, and also that the traffic’s not very good on this road. But really. I do think there is an element of power-tripping here. Tooting their own horn. Literally. :/

Gee, I thought Thursdays were my cranky day.

P.P.S. AND HERE COMES ANOTHER BATCH OF FIRETRUCKS.

Also drawn on Livestream Sunday! Still using a too thick brush. But I have to say I am very grateful to Aywren for showing me the ‘stroke layer’ trick, the kind that makes better speech bubbles.

Chibiros!
