Hmph. Have just finished this picture and already I’m not too happy with it. Oh well. Hey, it’s a dark-skinned kalla! She’s rather pretty, isn’t she? She is Yoia, the Queen of the elves who live in the Griffonland. She’s very strong, both physically and in temperament, and is the matriarch of her people. Together with her partner, Swiftgold (not shown), she makes sure that everyone more or less gets along peaceably. Even if she has to crack some heads. She’s married to the long-suffering Nu, and they have a bunch of children. I’m not sure how many. And those children have children, and some of those have children too. Griffonland kalmaei marry and have kids a lot.
Yes, I am aware that there is something funny about her right leg. : P
Note: If you don’t know, my elves have an odd quality to their skin – it is not a fixed colour. It is a fixed tone, certainly, so some are pinkish and some are more yellowish. But Yoia is darkskinned because she spends her whole life in the steady southern sun. If she lived in the north, like Zela, she would have pale skin too. And if Zela lived in the south, she would have dark skin. Interesting, huh? I have no idea how realistic this is, but with my people, it happens. : )
More stuff: The Griffonlanders primarily wear white. It doesn’t absorb heat. I’m not sure whether the jewellery works, though. The armband might be a bit much. I mean, it does kind of restrict her bicep…
P.S. I just heard of a thing called an OCT: original character tournament. It sounds cool. Has anyone I know been in one? Tell me about it? I don’t necessarily want to be in one (I’d be sooo bad at it) but they sound super cool.
Although I think I’ve read enough webcomics and gotten enough sleep that I can start doing… that thing… again.
And then there’s the other secret project, too, although I’m not sure what’s happening with that one yet.
