I Came, I Ran, The Internet Was Slow

Yesterday was wierd. I went for a run, so that’s what all the talk of running is about. (I didn’t go today; I slept in. So L doesn’t need to worry about her doctor’s appointment. And I’m not too disappointed because there’s salsa tonight to rest up for.) Then school happened, as usual… In Latin class we talked about that treasure trove that was found in England. That was pretty cool. They abbreviated Domine as DNE. Then there was rehearsal, and we tried the Creston Sax Concerto first movement up to speed, and it was wicked. There was a Latiz quiz, and I was almost late because of the ME students’ music sale, but I think I did well on it. The Music Ed students were having a sale of… stooff. I’m not sure where it’s from, but they had five or six large bins of LP’s. I bought about a dozen, including World’s Most Famous Concertos, a Czech Christmas Mass, Smetana String Quartets, and Haydn Divertimentos. I mean, Mozart’s Divertimentos are just so fun; Haydn’s must be good too. They even had a record of Brothers in Arms, but Dad already owns that on CD so I didn’t get it. I ran into Dr. Syer and he saw the records I had and one of them was of a Bach multi-harpsichord concerto that Dr. Syer has someone doing in the Collegium, so he asked if he could borrow it sometime. Cool. The sale also had a lot of old books, but they weren’t nearly as interesting. In my piano lesson, May Ling was pleasantly surprised that I played certain octaves LOUD. And musically. Which made me happy because that’s been my focus of the last week! Then I came home, made a new friend on the bus (I recognized one of the first years and struck up a conversation) and found out the internet was practically dead so I couldn’t fix a mistake I made on Flaer’s character page. I mean, I put Dvorak instead of Smetana. How dumb can you get? Anyway, I fixed it just now. Chorus made me tired, but we got the Misa Tango.
