This is Flairé, and his usually near-invisible (when collapsed) collapsible helmet that became so popular during the second half of the war.
…I totally just made that up, but it’s canon now.
I actually like this design. I will try and keep it if I ever draw it again. And I didn’t make up the part about him wearing the helmet, because I’ve known he wears it all the time - heck, I don’t think he takes it off - but I just made up the part about it being in use during the second half of the war. I didn’t even know the war had halves.
Flairé: It didn’t.
He’s right, now that I recall the very spare outline he’s given me so far… Although he could have given it to me wrong. He does that on occasion. Anyway, I think Flaer and Zela have helmets like these as well, and Flaria, though she never wears hers, but Flairé is the one I’m always being, so I know his gear the best.
I should make his black velvet cloak with the rainbow-ed scarlet embroidered phoenix on it someday.
I’ve been watching Red Dwarf for the first time that I can actually remember and understand it. It’s very very funny. I know I watched it when I was little because I kept asking Dad why that guy had an H on his forehead, and also I remember seeing two kinds of mermaids - one with a woman’s top half and fish’s bottom half, and one vice versa. I haven’t gotten there yet. I’ve only watched four episodes. Craig Charles is funny, but I mostly know him from Robot Wars. Oooh, Robot Wars Season 2 is cool. (example 1, example 2) Cassius is my favourite. Huzzah!
Ramble ramble ramble.
My hands hurt. Good thing I have the week off work. Also the blister I got on my right heel last week somehow bled all over two socks without me noticing. Interesting, but I’ll have to break out my secret weapon: band-aids.
Didn’t get done yet what I wanted to show you. Would help if my realism skillz were not terrible at drawing from memory. I’ll try again tomorrow.
I don’t think a 4′ long sword would be too long, actually… but that’s just me. Comments welcome!
