flaireiconAnd now Zela in colour. Original here. The colour really brings out the proportional deficiencies, I think, but I also think the cloth at her waist looks really good for some reason. I had some trouble with layers and the multiply function… that’s why there are some white lines and some dark lines, instead of it all being just smooth. I guess I like the shiny sword a lot, though the hilt ought to be more detailed… I guess there’s only so much you can cram into those pixels. Also the hair is okay.

There’s so much I want to do right now! Photoshop painting, Ceniro movie, write Fire Emblem 7… I re-read as much of my story as is on here last night and I felt… I have up to Chapter 10 or so written, so why not put it up? Because it needs work, that’s why. Well, I’m going to work on Photoshop, I think.

I fixed a bunch of links in the archives.

Quiz/Poll Questions: D’you think it’s worth using Javascript to keep the sidebar links updated? How about the category buttons? Who uses those? Would you miss them if I took them away? How about if I just put a link to the specific category page? Is there any way to update the linking mechanism so that for picture n, the next button will automatically link to picture n+1? What do you think would be good Kalmaeiric words for ‘north’ and ‘land’?

E-mail me the answers to any or all of these questions elfinessewebsiteathotmaildotcom! No hurry; you won’t see any of the proposed changes for many months. I work slowly.

ordinaryheroiconAh, Anne. In colour! Original here. Ah, I did a sloppy job on the wings… but I still don’t know how to draw them. Anyway, I just tidied up a few details before posting it today, like the ear and the wing texture. As you can see I went crazy with the multiply function in Photoshop, though it is a tiny bit annoying that when you merge layers they either both become multiply or they both become normal… Didn’t really bother me here, though. And the bucket seems to have survived! Anyway, y’know, I think I actually prefer the pencil version – colour accentuates my mistakes/inaccuracies.

Anne’s story is Flightless Hawk!

Meh, I was going to say something interesting, but I forgot it.

Oh, right. I’m going to go through all my documents and post all the random bits that got left out. Like these Photoshop pictures. Also any minis that got left out… maybe even the first Ceniro movie! Everything will be up before the…19th or so. Then in September we will return to boring old pencil sketches. I just looked, and there’ll be one of a whole bunch of things (including another Flairé pose) and then a steady run of Zelda interspersed with LotR and other stuff. Good luck to us all.

Musicals are interesting, aren’t they? I should watch the Sound of Music. I haven’t seen it all the way through. I researched Annie Oakley yesterday, though, both the musical and the person. Interesting!

freliasfinesticonOne… last attempt to do Esgalwen, and it failed worse than ever. Then I drew the figures on the left, inspired by the song the lady sings in the bar on Outo World in Tsubasa… I still can’t remember her name anymore. Anyway, the bit where she stops and the girls’ choir starts is the bit that inspired me to imagine Flairé swinging me around in the air. Except I forgot my glasses again and he’s about a foot too tall. Then… I think I drew the one of Flairé with a little rock whizzing past his face (thrown by me ^_^7) and his shirt says “I LIKE PICKLES”. Squee! I think I drew Link next, and then Rana, and she turned out better than he did, and then I finished off with Legolas, who didn’t turn out too well, and Zela, looking especially grumpy.

My friends keep showing up in my dreams! Yaaay

I like children’s choirs. Did I say that? Although the one at the Olympics didn’t look like they were actually singing… oh, and the opening ceremonies were pretty silly overall, I think, especially the fireworks. I know the Chinese invented fireworks, but seriously! It was like day, or maybe an exquisitely pretty bombing raid… Anyway, I missed the first part, so maybe I’ll watch it later. Man, I didn’t even know the Olympics were on until this afternoon. Anyway, the flags are awesome.

sniffycartoon2iconFlairéeeee!! A full length portrait and a little one of him bowing. I don’t know if I noticed this before, but his cloak is really nice in the first one. I mean, for my skill level. He’s got his shield and quiver on his back – he’s fully outfitted, except for food… and a knife would come in handy… and stuff… Second picture has good upper body positioning but everything else is pretty sloppy. Oh well, it wasn’t meant to be as good as the first one anyway.

Two Esgalwen pictures before this one!

kushanamadiconOnce again, Esgalwen’s head is too big. The little dancing Esgalwen at the bottom is hopeless. Meh!
