marthsupericonI was going to draw Flairé, but she came out too girly.

Er, by ’she’ I mean he ended up as Flaria his sister. And I’m aware that androgynity… androgynousness… androgyny… (okay, I used a spellcheck, but so did you) means he looks like a girl a lot anyway. But there is a limit he won’t go beyond.

Latest craze: Indiana Jones.

I think I finished my bolt thrower #2! Also I’m starting to put a base on an old piece of scenery… I guess that means I’m starting to ‘do stuff’ again. Instead of, you know, sit around and read the internet. Say, if you go to Ozy and Millie, there’s also a great political blog attached… if you like that sort of thing.

I turned pages for May Ling again! She was playing with her trio, the MacPherson Trio. They played some really good stuff, like Haydn and Brahms and Mendelssohn. It was really great to be right beside them.

marthsaluteiconThis picture is useless, except for one thing: its progression from not terrible to completely half-baked as I lost interest.

Face… started out okay. Hair is not supposed to look like wings, it’s supposed to be big poofy anime hair. Then… chest failed, lower body failed more, and finally, arms and spear…. epic phail, as they say. I just wanted to get the darn figure done.

My brother’s annoying me about the “stupidity of drawing anything that’s not a tank” in general right now, but thankfully he went away and didn’t see the ‘epic phail’ bit or I’d really catch it.

I believe this was inspired originally by Poultry Arisen.

Eeeee! This guy is so funny! I was messing around with Aja’s Random Character Generator, and these stats popped up:

General
Specific/Optional
Gender: Male
Body Type: Muscular
Main Activity: Lounging or sleeping
Mood: Wistful
Hair Colour: Golden
Hair Texture: Wavy
Hair Length: Ankle Length
Hair Style: Multiple Braids
Skin Colour: Pale Peach
Weapon: Long Sword
Attire: Tights And A Cape
Wings: None
So….. I drew him! He was fun! Indeedy, he was very very fun. Not to mention amusing. And I’m rather proud of those pan- er, tights, although I hedged on the cape.

I love Marquez’ Danzon #2!!! ‘Twas on the radio this morning.

androgangelsiconHmph. This is a pretty hideous picture. Oh well. That’s Zela looking just p***** about something, destruction of a village or whatever… Flaer trying to help her somehow, Flairé looking… a lot younger than usual and not in a good way, either, Menad short and with big kiddie eyes, and Flaria also looking shocked. Urm.

Whatever.

I am wondering why Flaer’s hair is approaching his modern style when I apparently didn’t discover it until about March 14 of that year… Or was it the 17? I can’t remember.

I’m job hunting! First time doing that…. I detest my shoes for long distances.

Sorry for the long wait! I am back now, and I’ll update more frequently than once every two months now.

Today’s picture is of Howl and Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle. I think this picture came out well; it feels more than two-dimensional. Of course, his face is completely off.

I thought I had a lot to say, but I don’t really… over the past two months, I failed to get into either a Performance major or a Composition major, I played well enough in Festival, I recorded my concerto, I obtained recordings of both Chorus concerts this year, I discovered Mystery Science Theatre 3000, Star Trek The Next Generation, and Bruce Lee, and I just picked 14 inchworms off of my little brother who went running down at the golf course. I also discovered that I don’t know where a certain file is, of a card I drew in November and scanned because even though I found it slightly embarrassing, I like to keep records of all my pictures. I’m also wavering between completely on top of things and so far sunk that I have no idea how to start recovering.
