Aja: Flairé Fan Art

Oh dear Farore. This incredible piece of art is by Aja of True Magic! She says that it was fun to draw. I am happy Flairé is fun to draw. He’s certainly fun to hang out with. I love the sword hilt, and the hair, and the giant leaves, and the cool bench, and the clothes! I also love the fingers (I wish I could just do hands like that) and he’s perfectly tall and skinny!
I am now going to add a ‘Fanart’ button to the sidebar so that any who wish may see this by clicking on it. However, it will take a while for this to become applicable to all pages because I have to edit code manually for every single page. It will be done someday. I have also added the ‘movies’ button link, even though there won’t be any movies for a couple of weeks, just so I don’t have to do it again. Thank goodness.
I worship Aja now.

True Magic rocks!
Nothing has happened since yesterday. I’m going skating this afternoon and I wonder why.
I got a bunch of sidebars done, but I have hundreds more to do. Links will be crazy for a while. I’ll be diligent.

Well, Merry Christmas, everyone, and Happy whatever to everyone who doesn’t think Christmas is appropriate… holidays is most common, isn’t it? Anyway, I had a lovely time discovering what was inside those anticipation-inducing parcels. It was pretty incredible, really. Ooh, I was given elf-ears, two pairs, and the CD I heard on Disc Drive and really liked - Mariam Matossiam: Far From Home - and The Children of Hurin and HoME X (Histories of Middle Earth Book 10), and The Children of Hurin Calendar, and This Is Your Brain on Music, and a new High Elf sorcerer mini, and an IPOD (4G, pretty good) though so did Kevin and Dad and they’re all silver (!!) so we’ll have a job telling them apart, and I was also given the complete Mozart Symphonies done by Sir Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields (wootx10) and a plastic elven brooch (I think I sense a cosplay theme coming on).
Results of the (very small) contest on tomorrow!

Whoa. This is the danger of painting (and photographing) regiments. There are so many angles to take! These are the Folk of the Tree of Gondolin, captained by Galdor, he of the silver helmet and black hair. I just assigned that colour randomly; I like black hair. Mostly they’re just my Shadow Warriors… I guess the Gondolin Army scheme has deflated slightly.
Christmas Eve is so nice. There’s so much anticipation. I love anticipation. And cheese. And shortbread.

This is an example of very poor posture. If you look like this, chiropractor isn’t the word. Not to mention tooth-brushing.
Dad painted some orcs. Aren’t they cute? He did a really wonderful job, too. He used some Tamiya paints instead of the ultra-bright Games Workshop paints. It’s also a little hard to see, but there’s lots of rust and brass too.

Check out the spine on this one
Anyway, food is nice as well as sleep.
Something occured to me the other day, but I’ve forgotten it.

Red and White Bretonnian Archer

Okay, this dude is a generic Bretonnian archer that Kevin has way too much of to paint, so I made hiim nice and shiny. I’m pleased with this model. I just wish I could find my Bretonnian-on-vacation-in-Hawaii model.
I spend all my time sleeping. Sleep is nice.

Radagast is a pretty cool model, really. I really enjoyed painting this one, although the crow was a bit trickier.
Flairé would be a crow if he were a bird. Michael would be a raven and Leslie would be a blackbird. Nathan would probably be an owl - he’s up all night and sleeps all day.
I don’t know what I would be. Probably a sparrow.
My brother would be a hummingbird for sure.
I’m going to retouch the site soon, add a few more buttons on the side, add a few extras, blah blah blah. It’s going to take a while. Sometime I’ll change the graphic design too. Probably around my birthday.
It kind of took me all afternoon to photograph these guys so I have little time left now for the things I wanted to do… make a CD for a few improvising friends, paint and write stuff, and there was something else, too. Meh.

Now this is Beregond. I like Beregond. He’s excellent in the book. Very nice fellow. I based him so that he would be fighting at the last battle at the Black Gate.
Today we made icing in white, blue, and green, and decorated the gingerbreads. It was fun. Hasselbeck and Marth were especially ticked off– I mean, pleased. Then I used my webcam for the first time.
Earlier I went and visited Leslie, and she liked the card I drew for her birthday which is coming up. I’m pretty happy with it myself. She has an exam tomorrow, though.

MINIIIIIS! I should have done these pictures long ago, too.
Eärendil, as a 7 year old boy at the Fall of Gondolin, is modelled by Pippin in Gondor, wearing boots. I used Green Stuff, the two-part GW epoxy putty. Just a bit. The detail bits I’d like to bring out are the swirlies on his cloak and the golden wings on his helmet. I also think I did a good job on the cloth of this model.
And Eärendil is just cute.
I usually take him as a commander when I play with him. He does okay. The only other thing I want to say about this model is that I painted it in a very short period of time; only about two weeks. Same for the other two models coming up next. It was fun.
We made gingerbread cookies tonight! Hooray! We used every cookie cutter at least twice!
Also I wrapped some presents.

This… just happened. It was cool.
Sheik’s chain whip is pretty ‘awesome’. But this isn’t it.
And this concludes our Super Smash Bros. Melee pictures for this time. There are more we’ve taken, but I need to borrow the digital camera that I find works intelligently first.
