zelaavatarsm2Lyon! The Prince of Grado from Fire Emblem 8 gets some more paper time. I wanted to draw him happy because he comes across as a pretty tragic character in the game: in love with Eirika, beating himself up for being physically weak and losing to Ephraim (and Eirika) all the time, even though they’re both terrific friends and he knows it, and he appreciates it, etc. Also his father getting sick and dying doesn’t help. He’s far too sensitive to be an Emperor, but with his friends’ help, he could have made it. As a sensitive Emperor, he would have listened to his people very carefully. Instead, the Demon King ate his soul. Blah. So, this is him being happy because he doesn’t get to be often enough.

I used his game sprite for a reference for his hair again, and his clothes. His face came out a bit long.

Ike is the Fire Emblem character in Super Smash Bros. Melee! Hurray! I personally would have liked to have seen Ephraim in there, since a lance user would have been amazingly cool and different – it’s always sword users for those medieval guys, excepting Link (multiweapon) and Pit (bow and swords) – but I understand that Fire Emblem 8 seems to be a lesser game; only 20 chapters, no sequel, etc. and so Ike, from FE9 with lots of levels, an even bigger story, the ‘next gen’ (of that time, Gamecube) console, 3D graphics for the first time in the FE franchise, etc. So Ike wins. But Ephraim would have rocked too. That reminds me, I haven’t drawn Ephraim for a long time. I should go and give him some pencil since he rocks so much. >_<7

I went to an organ concert today, played by David Berry. I liked it; the program was good, and the singer was magnificent, but some of his own pieces could have been a lot cleaner. That’s probably my only bad comment, but sometimes even my Mom noticed.

Inverloch finished! I’m now reading it from the beginning again to get all the little plot points that became significant after later events.

Lego Star Wars II is really fun!
